Hi my friend,
Welcome to this short somatic practice.
I invite you to begin standing.
Take a deep breath in as you stand up tall,
Opening your heart.
Exhale,
Root down into your feet.
Feels right closing your eyes maybe placing one hand on your heart one hand on your stomach You can lift the heels and drop the heels a couple times.
Grounding into your feet.
Just like a tree has roots.
So do you.
Feel this rooted energy through your feet into the earth.
And yet your body can flow free.
Like the branches of a tree sway in the wind So can you.
There is this sturdy energy but also this soft fluidity freedom about you.
This shaking practice.
Is an invitation for you to release any stuck energy.
To let go of what feels heavy.
To release what is not yours Breath in.
Breath out.
There's no right or wrong here.
May you focus on how it feels versus.
How it looks.
Or how it should look.
Ask yourself,
What do I need to release?
What do I need to shake off?
Breath in.
Let it go.
Only when it feels right,
Start to gently shake.
Finding a soft bend in your knees,
Shaking the lower body.
Continuing to stay rooted in your feet and just shake,
Shake,
Shake,
Shake.
Allow the arms to feel floppy and loose.
The shoulders feel heavy,
Shaking the arms.
Maybe gently flicking the hands.
Allow your torso to shake,
Shake,
Shake and sway and move.
Let it go here.
Allowing there to be a bounce,
A rhythm to it,
And also no pattern.
Don't think too hard about it,
Just flow and feel and move.
Maybe letting out some sound with the shaking,
A gentle ha or a forceful ha,
Letting something out through the voice.
Using the body to release any trapped energy.
You got this,
Keep shaking.
Just like a snow globe letting everything shake.
Not holding back.
Maybe finding horse lips,
Breathing in.
Exhaling.
I see you shake,
Shake,
Shake it all off.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Shake the shoulders,
Shake the body.
You're doing amazing.
This is yours.
Radical.
Out of the head into the body.
Release.
Shake a little bit more,
My friend.
As you can.
Ah,
Keep going.
Really get clear on what you are shaking,
What you're releasing.
Let it go.
Starting to slow the shape.
Gently finding a sway as you tap your heart.
Feel into the heart swaying.
.
.
Holding your heart now,
Finding stillness.
Feel the current running through you and awakening of every cell in your body.
Just like a snow globe shakes.
It also settles.
Breathe in Breathe out.
Settle.
Saddle.
Saddle.
Notice.
What is here now.
After shaking and releasing.
Notice the parts of you that feel.
Open now.
The space you've created by.
Releasing the stuck energy.
Thank you body Thank you,
Body it feels right to you moving into a seated space.
Getting grounded just sit and stay here.
Hold space for what's here It's okay if.
.
.
There's a feeling that is simply asking to be felt.
Let yourself feel breath in.
Breath out.
You are safe.
You are steady now.
Wrapping your arms around yourself,
Giving yourself a squeeze,
A hug.
Maybe squeezing down your arms,
This is a gentle way to.
Feel into more grounded energy.
Holding yourself here for a moment longer May you never forget that you are the greatest source of calm.
Steady you you don't need to look for anything outside of you in order to release,
To feel less stuck You are free.
Breath in.
.
.
Let it all go.
Maybe you need to lay down for a moment.
Get even more grounded.
Or stay here with your breath.
With your loving awareness a little longer.
No rush.
Go slowly now.
From my heart to yours.
