Welcome to the I Believe in Myself meditation for courage and purpose.
This meditation uses affirmation and visualization to evoke a sense of courage and confidence in oneself.
Take your time to settle into this meditation,
Finding your comfortable position,
Knowing that you can open your eyes or allow your body to move if it supports your meditation practice.
Begin by gradually bringing your awareness from the outside world in towards your body,
Making a mental note of the room you're in,
Allowing any outside sounds around you,
Allowing everything that exists around you to be just as it is.
For the next few minutes,
Your attention is within yourself,
Honoring yourself.
Feeling into your body,
Taking time here to soften and relax,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Relaxing your chest and belly,
Relaxing any areas of tension from the top of your head down to your toes.
And while you're doing so,
You're giving space for your mind to quieten,
Your mind gradually relaxing as your body relaxes,
Becoming more and more centered within yourself.
Now,
Finding your breath.
How is your breath moving through your body?
Can you feel it entering your throat,
Your chest,
Your body softly expanding and retreating,
Taking a few breaths into your chest,
Perhaps taking a sigh out if it feels good for you.
Now,
Continuing with the breath,
Bringing it down into the belly,
Into the navel space,
Feeling your breath fill your belly,
Breathing into this space with ease,
Noticing any tension or anxiety that may exist.
Continue breathing into this space,
The belly and navel space,
The space of fire within us,
The center of our courage,
Our willpower,
Our determination.
As you breathe into this space,
You may like to imagine a flame or a bright white light within this area,
The warmth and light bringing you courage,
Bringing you strength.
And as you continue to breathe into this space,
I invite you to listen to these affirmations,
Perhaps also repeating them inwardly for yourself.
I believe in myself.
I believe in my purpose.
I believe in my strength and courage.
I will inspire.
I will create.
I will contribute towards the world,
Offering the beauty of the gifts within me.
I have so much to offer this world.
I will step forward.
I am determined.
I will make positive change in this world.
I will create more love,
Happiness,
Joy and peace.
For myself and for others.
Taking time for these affirmations to softly wash over you,
To become a part of you.
I believe in myself.
I believe in my purpose.
Continuing to feel into the rise and fall of your belly.
As you allow these words to be with you.
Also allowing for any thoughts or emotions that arise.
Any sparks of inspiration.
Or areas of doubt that may still need loving attention.
Taking these last few moments to sit with these words,
Offering yourself what you need right now.
I invite you now to bring your breath back to your heart space.
You may also like to place your hands over your heart.
Taking a moment gratitude here.
Offering gratitude towards yourself.
Towards anyone who has supported you in your journey this far.
Allowing your heart to be filled with courage,
With hope and with confidence in yourself.
And in your own time,
Making a transition back out of meditation.
Doing so gradually to ensure you bring this inner state with you out into the world.
Gradually opening your eyes and meeting the world once again.
