Take a deep,
Full breath in,
Let it out.
Take another deep,
Rich,
Full breath in,
And let it out.
Bring your attention to your breath and its natural movement.
It may be shallow,
And that's okay.
It will expand as you bring your attention to it.
Inhale through your nose,
Exhale through your mouth,
And just observe for a moment your own natural rhythm of breathing.
Scan your body now with your mind's eye.
Notice any areas that feel tight or weary or need attention.
Don't judge or overthink it,
Just notice.
Use your body trying to communicate something to you.
Bringing awareness to your body honors it,
And it allows your body to be in the present moment also.
And continue to breathe.
Allow your body now to relax.
Allow your feet and ankles to relax,
Your legs,
Your thighs.
Allow your hips to sink into the seat beneath you.
Let your stomach out,
And continue to breathe peacefully.
Give your neck and shoulders permission to relax,
Your eyes,
Your ears,
And your face,
All letting go.
Feel the peace and the contentment that this moment has brought to you.
And continue to breathe.
Now imagine that extending from your mid-region in an area just underneath your navel is an anchor.
It is a solid metallic anchor,
And it's slowly descending from you into the floor beneath your feet,
Into the room below this one,
To the floor of the building where you are.
The concrete outside,
The dirt,
The sand,
Its long cable appears to be infinite in length as it continues to descend into the infinite,
And as it does,
Its long cable acts as a magnet drawing from you the way a magnet would pull metal.
It pulls all of the energy that you are carrying that you no longer need.
Indeed conversations that remain,
Memories that no longer serve you to hold onto,
Feelings of worry or doubt,
Rejections or frustrations,
Cloudy thinking,
Anyone and everyone in your energy space that is not you.
Allow all of that to go,
And continue to breathe.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Feel the peace and the contentment of being present in your body and having released what no longer serves you.
And on the count of five down to one,
Return to the room around you feeling lighter and connected.
Five,
Four,
Three,
Release the anchor entirely,
Two and one.
Open your eyes.
