The spaces between.
It is the space within the cup that holds the liquid.
It is the spaces between us that hold the freedom.
Please take a moment and get comfortable either in a seated position or reclining.
If you're reclining,
Make sure there is enough space in the way you're holding your head for an easy breath.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze to avoid distractions.
Take a moment to start to feel the spaces around you,
The spaces within you,
Both physically and mentally.
Let your jaw soften,
Let your brow become smooth.
Take a moment to start feeling the spaces,
The spaces between the tips of your toes.
Feel them one by one,
Starting with one foot in between each of the toes,
One by one.
And then the second foot,
The spaces between each of the toes,
One by one.
Feel the air,
Experience breathing into these spaces.
Try if you can to feel the spaces between each of the toenails and the flesh of the toes themselves.
Starting with one foot,
One by one,
Each of those toes.
Next,
To the second foot,
One by one,
The spaces between the toes,
The fleshy parts,
And the toenails.
Starting across each of the toes,
Feeling the freedom of air and breath.
Take a moment and feel the space between the wrinkly parts of the bottom of your feet,

And the second foot.
Feel the space around the calves,
The shins of your lower legs.
The space rising between the feet and the ankles.
The space rising around the joints,
Ligaments,
Tendons of the ankles.
Space rising in connecting those ankles to the shins in the front,
To the calves in the back of your lower legs.
There's room for space between follicles of hair on those lower legs.
There's room for space inside of your calves,
Inside of your shins,
Between the flesh and the bones,
Between the flesh and the muscles and the tendons,
The ligaments.
So much space.
Space that allows movement and circulation of blood.
Space within the blood.

The connective tissues,
