Awakening.

While still reclining,

Take a deep breath in.

Feel your lungs slowly expel.

A longer breath out.

A deep breath in.

Notice sensations in your body.

Feel blood circulating.

Feel communication between nerve ending.

Feel the connection between muscles,

Ligaments,

Tissues.

The skin spread out across your physical being,

Protecting you and helping you to feel.

As you are awakening to this new experience,

This new moment,

This new day,

What do you notice?

What sensations are there for you?

This is a new moment.

Is there an area in your body that is calling more to your attention?

What type of sensations do you feel there?

Is there a temperature distinction,

A tingling pressure,

Or varying degrees of comfort?

Do you feel this in a localized way or spread out?

Does it stay in one place or doesn't move around?

Notice all there is to feel with it.

As you are noticing,

What would it be like to be more friendly with it?

To lean into it?

To fully accept it?

Notice yourself breathing into it if you can.

What wisdom might it hold for you?

I invite you to notice any new wisdom coming from this experience.

This feeling in the moment,

In the present,

These sensations here and now.

Are there any emotions that come from this new wisdom?

If so,

Take some time to be with these feelings.

Notice any changes in sensations that go with them.

Give yourself some time to sit with this.

Now scan yourself some more for any other areas calling to your attention.

If you find any,

Again explore what there is for you now.

Notice the kind of sensation,

Bright or dull,

Consistent or intermittent,

Still or flowing,

Warm or cold.

If you can,

Lean into that feeling.

Honor that feeling for the wisdom it has for you.

Stay with this awareness.

Now take some deep,

Full-bodied breaths.

Breathing in from the tips of your toes and all the way through your legs,

Your torso,

Your chest.

Holding for a moment and then fully exhale through the passageways.

And again,

Breathe in from the tips of your toes and all the way up.

This time,

See if you could feel the breath circulating in your neck,

Forehead,

The back of your head,

Many of the different places around your ears,

Your skull,

And down.

And then fully exhale.

Notice circulation in your fingers,

Your toes,

Your ears,

Your cheeks,

Your shoulders,

Your knees,

Your elbows,

Your wrists.

There's always movement continuing throughout your body,

Even when you are seated or reclining in a still position.

Bathe yourself in this bright awareness.

As you approach the new day,

Might you take this brightness into your heart,

Into your face,

Into your eyes,

Into your fingertips,

And into your feet.

And allow it to move you forward toward your endeavors and intentions.

Now curl over to your side if you're still in the reclined position to slowly sit up.

Allow more light into your eyes and take a wider view of the space around you.

Let this experience allow you to be more fully present and available to the opportunities of now.

Thank you very much for your participation.
