This is a short reset to help you release stress and quickly cultivate a sense of calm.
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position.
You might gently close your eyes or simply soften the gaze,
Letting your shoulders drop just a little,
Unclenching the jaw.
Allow yourself to arrive here now.
Take a slow,
Steady breath in through the nose,
And a long,
Easy breath out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale slowly,
And exhale,
Letting the breath carry away tension.
One more breath in,
And a longer breath out.
Now allow your breathing to return to a natural rhythm and bring your awareness to the body.
Notice where you might be holding stress or tightness today.
Maybe in the shoulders,
The neck,
The belly.
Without trying to fix anything at first,
Simply acknowledging what's here.
And then,
With your next exhale,
Imagine the body softening by just 1%.
Breathing in,
And breathing out as you relax the muscles of the eyes,
The upper back,
The palms of the hands.
Breathing in,
And breathing out as you soften the belly,
The hips,
And the soles of the feet.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Where else might you soften here?
You can release what you do not need to carry in the body.
Each exhale creating a little more space,
A little more ease.
Now,
Take one more slow breath in,
And a gentle,
Steady breath out,
Allowing the shoulders to soften again,
The body to feel fully supported.
Notice how you feel now as this brief rest comes to a close.
Notice if anything has shifted,
Even just 1%.
When you're ready,
Gently open the eyes or lift your gaze as you return to your day with steadiness and a little more ease.
Thank you for practicing with me today,
And thank you for taking this moment to take good care of yourself.
