Hello,

This is Erika Su and welcome to this new year intention setting meditation.

This meditation is designed to really bring yourself into fuller authenticity,

To take those still moments where you can listen to your inner voice that's guiding you to your highest good and well-being.

So I will begin by reading from the Voice of the Master by Ava Bell Werber and this particular chapter is called Let Me Plan Your Day.

Again this morning you come for the quiet blessing of our communion together.

Your heart is filled with the complexity of living.

You seem to see so many varied activities before you.

This place to go or that person to see,

This task to take up or that one to lay aside.

You wonder how you shall always know which is of the greater importance and how you shall so divide your time that you shall always be in your right place doing that thing which I would have you do.

Do you not see that by this giving anxious thought,

Trying so hard to lay a plan for your busy days,

You are taking these things into your own hands?

You are trying to decide by your own feeble might which is the wisest course for you to follow.

Come very close to me my beloved for I would give you a secret from my very heart.

When you find yourself thus beset by activity then of all times is a time to be still.

Calm that disturbed hardly bring mind of yours.

Go back within yourself where I the lord of all wisdom am always dwelling.

Pause there as one in great thirst pauses at a fountain and takes a long drink of cool water.

So shall you pause and drink long and deeply of this eternal wisdom of mine.

Then thus fortified you shall go again about the business of your daily living.

Then shall you find all circumstances unfolding and developing so that you shall almost unconsciously do this thing now that you had thought to put off until tomorrow or that thing which you had intended doing today will seem somehow to have lost its importance.

It has fitted itself into some future picture.

So shall all your day be lived joyously,

Graciously,

Without worry or fret and that even tied as you pause again at the fount of all life you shall see how perfectly a day can unfold when you follow my planning.

All day long you will have been walking with me turning constantly for another moment of silent communion and no thought of your own will have entered into the problems which will have been easily met and gloriously solved.

That's extremely beautiful.

I really love the messages from this book.

They're divided into short chapters or meditations and this message is really encouraging us even when we are or especially when we are feeling anxious,

Especially when we are feeling like we're filled with so many thoughts or things to do that the best course of action is to calm the mind,

To be still and to go within yourself and connect with that higher power within yourself that's always guiding you,

Reminding you that it's constant in its encouragement,

In its love and its messages to you.

So now we will start the meditation and guided visualization.

So please take a comfortable seat or you can also lie down and gently close your eyes and start to feel your connection with the present moment.

Notice that your energy is melding with the energy all around you,

That you are one with the universe.

Starting to become aware of your breath,

That sacred in-breath and out-breath as you pull in oxygen,

Cleansing and clearing,

Activating your energy within.

Now place your focus on your third eye chakra in the center of your forehead,

In between your brows and visualize a great glowing ball of fire spinning clockwise.

You see it spinning slowly at first but it's gaining speed faster and faster spinning clockwise in your third eye as you see the beautiful flames flickering from it,

The mystical orange light emanating from it.

Now place this ball of fire in your root chakra at the base of your tailbone,

Continuing to see the ball of fire spinning and on the underneath side of this ball of fire,

Connect a cord of your choosing.

Whatever comes to your mind first is fine.

It can be a chain,

A crystal cord,

A rope,

Roots.

See your cord growing downward now from this ball of fire into the floor and deeper and deeper until you reach the earth and straight down your cord grows even deeper until you reach the core of the earth,

The very center.

The core of the earth is a ball of fire as well and in the center of it you find a golden anchor.

You fasten your cord securely to the anchor now and as you do so you immediately feel your sacred connection with the earth.

You immediately feel your energy becoming grounded and centered.

Now you make your way back up your cord all the way up into your eyes and really feel the sensation of connecting with your eyes and even though your eyelids are closed,

Imagine yourself looking out beyond your eyelids into the universe and as you do so you connect with that observer part of yourself,

That part of yourself that always remains in a constant state of peace and awareness.

This is your consciousness and now take a few centering breaths,

Breathing in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth as you continue to gaze out beyond your eyelids connecting with that observer part of yourself and now begin to see one activity that you've been guided to do but you have been putting off,

Setting aside,

Ignoring,

Suppressing and begin to visualize this activity in your mind whatever it may be.

It could be getting more exercise,

Doing yoga,

Writing more,

Journaling,

Traveling,

Going out into nature,

Being creative.

Your inner guidance always knows what you can do to feel nurtured,

Motivated and inspired and when we were busy it's so easy to sweep aside these messages but now is the time to really come into stillness and see the importance of following through on your inner guidance.

So now I encourage you to see this activity with great clarity and set the intention in your mind,

Body and soul to set the intention in your heart that you will set aside this activity no longer,

That you will honor your authentic desires,

You will honor your soul's urgings and convert this thought into action and so breathe into that taking a big inhale through the nose,

Exhaling out through the mouth,

Another deep breath in and out,

Really setting the energy of this intention now and notice how you feel.

Notice if there is any shift in how you feel.

Do you feel excited,

At peace and just being aware of the shift.

Now take a deep breath in and as you exhale out you begin to bring your awareness back to your present surroundings.

You bring sensation back into your fingers and toes and into the rest of your body as you take a deep breath in,

Exhale out and you may slowly and gently blink your eyes open whenever you feel ready.
