Welcome to this healthy desires meditation.

Just take a deep breath and start to get comfortable in this moment while I reflect on desires a little bit here.

Just coming into the present moment and watching your breath and watching your thoughts.

You not being your thoughts,

But you observing your thoughts.

Not attaching to anything,

Just letting it come and go.

No judgement.

So first of all,

Having this human experience means also having desires and there's nothing wrong with that.

If we resist that,

It always backfires.

Because one of my favourite sayings,

What we resist persists.

So instead it's just about being okay with that.

That as humans we will have desires and there's nothing wrong with that.

If anything,

It actually makes life kind of exciting and fun.

The problem only occurs when we chase this excitement as our fulfilment.

Because everything that has a high also has a low.

As pleasure turns to pain,

As love turns to hate,

Or maybe a better way of putting it,

Attachment turns to resentment.

Because true love,

True peace,

True joy are the three things that don't have an opposite because they are not generated in the mind.

They come from a deeper place that is not subject to this opposite nature.

So just breathing in slowly and calmly.

I want you to reflect on a desire that you have.

Something that you really want.

Something that you really want to happen in your life.

And tune in how that makes you feel.

And now bring attention to your heart.

And tune in to what this desire brings to your heart.

Is it an attempt to feel whole?

To feel your heart which you feel is not already full enough?

Which you feel is not complete?

Or what is it?

Maybe it is a desire that still remains even when your heart is full.

And we are going to test that out right now.

So breathing into your heart and imagining a white light with all the goodness in the world,

With all the goodness you have ever experienced in your life,

Flowing into your heart.

And just expanding as you breathe in and out.

Expanding in the area of your heart and expanding in your entire body.

As your whole being gets filled more and more with love,

Peace and joy.

Aspects of being that are beyond the mind.

Pure states of being.

Pure states of being.

So effortless,

Yet so beautiful.

With every breath this grows more and more.

This is not a technique that you need to learn.

This is programmed into you as the loving being that you are.

This is in fact your true nature beyond the construct of the mind.

So it's very natural for you and it feels like coming home to some extent.

Even if it feels foreign for you right now,

There's a part of you that recognizes this as home.

You might see images flashing into your head,

Into your mind,

Of the good things of the love that you have experienced in your life.

Truly radiating love all around you.

That any person,

Any being,

Any creature,

Anything,

Any object that is in your radius of 50 meters will be basking in your love as well.

You are not just doing this for yourself.

You are doing this for everyone you love.

For every person,

For everything on this planet,

And maybe even beyond.

As the love,

The peace,

And the joy that you radiate expands beyond the 50 meter radius,

To wrap your whole city,

To shower your whole city in your goodness.

Anything that is hostile just gets swept away by your goodness.

As this expands beyond your city,

To your country,

To your continent.

To the entire world.

As you are showering the entire world with your love,

Peace,

And joy.

And bask in how good that feels.

The true connection to Mother Earth and everything on her.

Now once again bring to mind this desire that you had,

And focus on your heart,

And how it feels.

Remember,

Nothing is right or wrong.

You are just investigating what is here.

Without judgment.

You are not just doing this for yourself.

You are doing this for everyone.

Maybe there's another desire that you want to test out in this space.

You can do so now.

You can do so now.

Really tuning into your heart,

And seeing if it needs anything.

If there's anything outside of you that you need to do to feel complete.

Or if it is rather this connection to your heart,

To your inner goodness,

That can do with a bit more focus and returning to.

Maybe that is where you will find your peace.

But there is nothing wrong with wanting to achieve things,

Do things,

On the outside as well.

This can come from a full heart.

We only have to be careful when we're trying to fulfill ourselves with outside sources,

Because all of that is temporary.

It comes and it goes.

That is the temporary nature of things outside of us.

Whereas the consciousness within,

The one that perceives everything,

Has an eternal quality to it.

And you don't need to fully grasp this right now.

I don't claim that I do.

But just tuning into that potential can do a lot to shift our perspective,

When we're faced with desires and things that we want to do or don't want to do.

Yes,

It is human to have desires.

It is human to have negative thoughts.

It is human to have so-called negative emotions.

Although it is our label that we place on them,

And really it's just energy in motion.

And despite experiencing these things and that being normal,

We don't need to act on them.

We can acknowledge the thoughts,

We can acknowledge the emotions without judgement,

And let them pass.

Which is not always easy,

But we don't need to fall victim to them.

We can just make space and observe from a distance,

As that eternal observer.

Which is detached from these things and does not identify as them.

And with this space,

We can already tap into different experiences of peace,

Love and joy,

Which is a beautiful thing.

So next time when you feel desires that don't come from a full heart,

Don't beat yourself up about that.

It is normal.

But also remember,

You don't need to act on it.

When you don't resist it and just let it be there.

Just let it pass.

It will go by itself.

And you will feel so much better that you did not let it overcome you,

But instead you stayed focused and centered because you realize that the true treasures lie with developing this connection to the love,

Peace and joy,

And the I am within.

No longer subject to the opposites,

To the pleasure and the pain,

To the attachment and the resentment.

Yes,

These things are still part of our human experience.

And made this whole experience more interesting,

But at the same time,

We are never the victim.

We have choices.

We have the power to choose.

So just slowly bring your attention back into your body,

Into your feet.

Coming up to your hips,

Your arms,

Your chest,

Your head.

Just having an awareness of your entire body resting here.

Just before you open your eyes,

Check in one last time with your heart.

Is there anything that I want to take with me today?

Anything that I want to remember as I go about my life?
