The wind blows the gigantic rosemary bush.
Its sprigs catching and swaying lazily.
You inhale its sharp fragrant scent.
You breathe out hot breath and worries.
They swirl away up into the air and vanish.
You're not in a rush.
You walk over to this magnificent shrub,
Its branches towering overhead.
Feel the tightly packed bare earth under your feet.
It's warm.
The sun has been on it most of the day.
Dried woody leaves are scattered here and there.
It's a comforting feeling.
A contrast to the fresh breeze that sways the branches.
Reach out and touch a few sprigs in front of you.
Your fingers brush the spiked soft leaves.
Your hands warmth releases some of that delicious scent.
It fills your nostrils,
Waking up your senses and somehow easing tension in your body all at once.
You gaze up at the tallest branches.
The sun kissing the very tops.
A couple of bumblebees dozily drift from bloom to bloom.
Collecting pollen from the pale lilac colored flowers.
Everything gets done in its own time.
Take a deep inhale of the rosemary's pungent aroma again.
Its woody greenness feels cleansing.
Your exhales release worries and stresses.
And carry off far away with the breeze.
You crush a few leaves in between your thumb and forefingers.
And inhale the scent from your fingertips.
How does nature craft something so delicious?
So nurturing?
So cleansing?
Every rustle that you can hear of the rosemary branches in the wind unfurls your tense muscles even more.
Here you are safe,
Supported and cared for.
You are safe,
Supported and cared for.
The beautiful astringent aroma will stay with you wherever you go off to next.
It reminds you that everything will be okay.
Just remember to pause and breathe.
Pause and breathe.
