Transcript

This is a movement meditation where you will be moving your body in gentle yet powerful ways.

You'll be doing this in order to move old stagnant energy from within your body so that you can create space for new life force energy and vitality.

All you need is a space to stand comfortably and freely.

Come to stand with your feet hip distance apart.

Have your arms alongside your body and see that your head and neck are in line with your spine.

Close your eyes and begin to feel your feet on the ground.

Feel all four corners of your feet,

The balls of your feet and your heels.

You can press them gently into the ground beneath you and just begin to feel like you're arriving in this moment.

You have nowhere to be and nowhere to go.

You're just here.

Begin to feel grounded.

And then you're gonna bring both of your hands together in front of the center of your chest in prayer position.

Here you're gonna start to observe the connection between the left and right side of your being with your hands together in this way.

You're now going to take some really deep nourishing breaths.

You're going to begin by taking a deep inhale through your nose right down to your belly,

Filling your entire torso up with air.

And then when you exhale,

You're going to open your mouth,

Exhale with a sigh as loud as feels comfortable.

And once again inhaling through your nose right down to your belly,

Exhaling out through your mouth,

Emptying all your breath out and sighing as loud as feels comfortable.

So you're just gonna do a few more of these really nourishing breaths at your own pace.

And then when you're ready closing this breath practice by just coming back to your normal,

Natural breathing rhythm.

You can bring your arms alongside your body again.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Just taking a moment to observe any shifts that you may be feeling within your body now.

Putting your feet on the ground once again.

And then gently opening your eyes.

This next practice is a shaking practice.

It's a tantric ritual of moving old energy out of your body in order to create the space for new energy.

So you're just gonna begin by shaking your left leg,

Your left foot and your left ankle as vigorously or gently as feels good.

You're then gonna shake your right leg,

Your right foot and your right ankle.

Shaking everything out,

Any tension,

Frustration,

Any emotion you wanna let go of.

And then shaking your right arm,

Your wrists,

Especially your hand and then your left arm,

Your left wrist and your left hand.

Shaking anything out of your hands that may feel stuck there,

Especially if you've been sat at a computer for a long period of time.

And then you can shake your body from left to right.

Now you're gonna freestyle shake for another minute in any way that feels good to your body right now.

And then just gently bringing this shaking practice to a close.

Coming back to your feet,

Hip distance apart,

Arms alongside your body,

Head and neck in line with your spine.

Once again closing your eyes and noticing any shifts you may be feeling in your body.

You may feel a sense of new pulsating energy.

You may feel a rush of energy through your body or you may feel very little.

Whatever you're feeling right now is perfect.

You can take a few deep breaths,

Sighing out with your exhale if that feels good.

And then once again coming back to your natural breathing rhythm.

Gently opening your eyes.

Now you're gonna do another practice of moving energy.

You're going to gently pat your whole body with the pads of your fingers.

So choosing one hand,

Your right or your left hand and then starting to pat your arm,

Your back,

Your face,

Your head,

Your chest and then alternating between each hand or using them both at the same time together to pat down backs of your legs,

Your feet,

The fronts of your legs,

The whole of your torso,

Your shoulders,

Your neck.

Just gently patting your whole body.

Beginning to find a rhythm with your pats.

Remember to pat your back wherever you can reach with your hands.

So just doing this for another half minute.

And then just closing this practice by coming back to your standing position,

Feeling your feet on the ground.

You can gently shake out any energy from your arms,

Your hands,

Your wrists.

Just closing that practice.

Coming back with your arms alongside your body.

Feel your feet on the ground.

Close your eyes and once again just notice any shifts that you may be feeling.

Taking a few deep breaths,

Letting go of that practice.

So our final practice today to clear any old energy is lion's breath.

With lion's breath you're going to take an inhale through your nose and then when you exhale you're going to open your mouth wide as wide as feels comfortable sticking your tongue out and exhaling with a roar.

So coming back to gently opening your eyes.

You can bring both hands together in front of the centre of your chest in prayer position.

And you're just going to do a few lion's breath at your own pace.

So inhaling through your nose and then opening your eyes wide open and your mouth wide open and then exhaling with a really big roar sticking your tongue out.

So just doing a few more of those.

And then once you've done your last lion's breath coming back to your normal natural breathing rhythm.

You can have one last shake if that feels good.

Just clearing any residual energy.

Then coming back with your palms together in front of the centre of your chest.

Closing your eyes taking a deep inhale exhale bow your head to your heart give yourself really deep gratitude for giving yourself the time and space to revitalize re-energize and rejuvenate.
