Hello beautiful souls,

This is June Bee and welcome to a beautiful night's sleep.

Thanks for being here for another in the series Bedtime Tales with June Bee.

Join me as we think about and watch the russeting leaves and all the things we will discover on our journey to sleep.

So let's get into your favourite sleeping position,

Making sure you are comfortable.

Close your eyes,

Relax your muscles and slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed.

Now let's go to your breathing,

Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Ah,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Last time,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Ah,

Ah.

Settle in now,

Relax and get comfortable.

Listen to the sound of my voice.

If your mind wanders,

It's okay,

Bring it back to the sound of my voice.

Let go of everything that has happened today and let's go on our journey together.

This time of the year is a beautiful one.

The temperature drops slightly and the whole landscape is changed almost overnight.

Like the changing of a scene in one of your favourite movies.

The warm glow of summer is right behind us and now we are heading fast towards the amazing colours of autumn.

This time of the year has all the trees taking on a different feeling,

A complete transformation.

The changes are so pleasing to see.

I have a big tree that resides right outside my window and in the summer months I watched as the leaves were green and full of life,

Of life.

Soaking up the sun and the light whilst helping to purify the air for all of us.

Then as the seasons changed,

The leaves started to turn all of the beautiful colours of the season.

Brown,

Beige,

Red,

Deep purple,

Pink,

Orange and burnt orange and so many hundreds of intricate variations in between.

As I look at the tree swaying in the gentle wind outside my window,

I am fascinated by the leaves as they dance away in the cooler breeze that has taken hold in these months that lead us to the closing of the year.

When autumn arrives,

A new energy comes across us and once again we may feel refreshed,

Inspired and invigorated.

The beauty of autumn is striking and undeniable.

From the brilliant colours of the changing leaves to the crisp air and gentle or sometimes sharply falling temperatures.

Everything about this season seems to signal to us that change is upon us in a beautifully striking way.

There is a relaxation technique that many people use when looking at leaves.

The way to do this is to look at the leaves and try to focus on the gaps of space between them.

By the time you are able to focus on one gap,

It transforms with a million changes and you have to pick and focus on another gap.

This exercise gives you the chance to focus on the present moment and allows our brains time to rest and relax for a few moments.

This chance to let go and relax can allow us such a great opportunity to reduce stress and focus on something positive.

The intertwining of the complex shapes and sizes of the leaves can produce a beautiful way to focus on the scene that changes and unfolds before us as time passes.

The leaves then let go.

They let go of their hold on the branches of these magnificent trees that have nurtured them from the beginning of their time until the moment when they let go go and gently fall to the ground.

As I look outside,

I see many people walking through the falling leaves.

And even when there is nobody walking through the leaves,

The breeze of the season gently allows them to rustle and dance along the ground.

They swirl up and down in this coordinated ballet of leaves and put on a beautiful show with bursts of color for your visual delight.

All scenes come to an end and this is no exception.

Exception.

The air gets crisper and the leaves are all gone off the trees and leave them bare.

Soon the fallen leaves will disintegrate and assimilate into the earth to then nourish the same trees while they hibernate and get ready for the winter season.

Who knew there was so much to notice from the rustling leaves outside your window?

Can you imagine the scene now?

I'm not sure about you.

I'm getting sleepy even thinking about it.

So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.

Thanks for joining me tonight.

And as you slowly drift away,

Have yourself a great night's sleep.

And looking forward to seeing you again for another in the series of Bedtime Tales with June B.

Good night.
