Join me in this meditation when you need to take a quick break from your workday (or anytime) to calm and reset your mind. Stay seated in your work chair if you'd like, and allow yourself to just relax and leave work behind for a few moments. My wish is that you will feel refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your day afterwards!

Hello friends and thank you for joining me today.

This meditation is specifically designed for those who sit all day at work especially in front of a computer but it will certainly and absolutely benefit anyone and everyone just as well.

If you are comfortable to lie down go ahead and do that but again if you are in the middle of your work day in your work chair just stay seated there,

Get comfortable,

Settle in and just allow yourself to relax.

Close your eyes if that feels good and now take a long deep breath in through your nose and exhale with a sigh through your mouth and again let's inhale through your nose exhaling with a sigh through your mouth and now just allow your breathing to find its own natural rhythm and sit with that for a little while.

And starting at the top of your head and just feel a softening,

A loosening of tension and allow this softening to move down through your eyes and your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Let your tongue gently fall away from the roof of your mouth,

Allow the corners of your lips to slightly turn upwards into a smile,

Take your awareness for a moment back to your breathing,

Long deep inhales and slow smooth exhales.

And now bring your attention to your shoulders,

Feel them fall away from your ears,

Let your stomach be soft and notice your body sinking more into the chair,

Let your legs be soft and still,

Everything is beginning to feel calm and relaxed.

Now keeping your eyes closed,

Place the palm of your hands gently over your cheekbones with your fingers gently over your forehead,

However they may fall,

Making sure that you can easily breathe through your nose.

Let's stay here for a few moments.

If it's more comfortable for you,

Go ahead and take your elbows and gently rest them onto your desk.

And now bring your hands to your lap or place them over your heart and let's stay here for another few moments.

And now gently move your head from side to side,

Just very slowly and perhaps do some shoulder rolls,

First to the back and then towards the front.

And perhaps do some wrist rotations in one direction for a few times and then in the other direction for a few times.

And perhaps if you feel like it,

Do the same with your ankles in one direction for a few times and then in the other direction for a few times.

Take another nice long inhale,

Exhaling with a sigh through your mouth.

Open your eyes when you are ready and have a most beautiful rest of your day.

Namaste.
