Hello and welcome to this guided meditation for forgiveness during a divorce,

Separation,

Or breakup.

My name is Julie Ila Grace and I am honored to be your meditation guide today.

Before we begin this meditation,

I'd like to invite you to practice today with a deep sense of compassion and non-judgmental awareness.

There is no need to judge yourself,

Your thoughts,

Or your feelings in any way.

Try to simply be with whatever may come up for you and let us welcome healing into this space,

Both for ourselves and for all beings,

Remembering that the highest good is the highest good for all.

As we settle into the practice,

Find a quiet,

Comfortable place to either sit or lie down.

Once you've found that comfortable position,

Close your eyes and take a few deep inhales through the nose and then exhale,

Either sighing or blowing the air out of the mouth.

Do this a few times.

When you're ready,

Allow your natural breath to take over again.

Imagine now that there is a beautiful halo of blue and white light dancing above your head.

Feel that in that pure white light there is an energy of protection and grace.

And in that vibrant blue hue,

Feel as if there is a healing energy transmitting the vibration of forgiveness.

Imagine that halo of light growing brighter,

Warmer,

And bigger.

And then feel it beginning to cascade down over your face,

Relaxing every muscle of the brow,

Around the corners of the eyes,

And the corners of the mouth,

And deep into the jaw.

Feel that light cascading down over your neck and throat,

Allowing you to sigh and relax deeper and deeper into this moment.

Feel it rolling down your shoulders,

Helping them to release more and more.

And feel it continuing all the way down your arms and into your hands,

Allowing your fingers and palms to relax.

Imagine that light swirling around your chest,

Tummy,

And back,

And feel your whole torso as supported and held in this safe,

Welcoming light.

Visualize it continuing to move down around your hips,

Down each leg,

And all the way around your feet and toes.

Know yourself now as fully cocooned in this safe and vibrant light.

Feel that you are supported and protected in this light as we move further into this meditation now.

Imagine that with every breath you take now,

You are bringing that light into your body,

And that you are also being supported from the inside out.

Feel that at a deep cellular level,

You are both protected and being healed.

Imagine this light transmuting the subtle layers of the self,

And feel your mind,

Heart,

Energy,

And body all being permeated by this protective and healing light.

As we move deeper into the meditation,

Allow any and all thoughts and sensations to pass through you as if you are witnessing them,

Rather than judging or attaching to them.

If you find yourself becoming stuck,

Just breathe in more and more of that light that is both within and all around you.

Give yourself permission to access the feelings related to your recent breakup,

Separation,

Or divorce.

For most people in these situations,

Forgiveness will be necessary in some form,

Whether for yourself,

Your partner,

Family members,

Friends,

Society itself,

Or any combination of these.

Let's begin with forgiving yourself for any ways that you may feel like you have not lived,

Responded,

Spoken,

Or acted as the highest version of yourself.

Firstly,

Remember that we,

As humans,

Are not perfect.

Being in our lower selves is a normal part of human existence.

We all need the dark to know the light.

We all need the night to know the day.

And we are all learning and evolving.

Take this practice in forgiving yourself as an opportunity to grow,

To cultivate wisdom,

And to move deeper into your dynamic and unique light.

Visualize your higher self.

Feel the vibration you emit when you exist within the energy of your highest self,

The ways in which you emanate love,

Peace,

And joy.

In the highest version of yourself,

Know that there is a wellspring of forgiveness.

Feel the energy of forgiveness as part of you,

With the ability to transcend space and time.

Imagine that energy of forgiveness enveloping you and sending shockwaves back through time.

Let yourself be forgiven for anything and everything that you perceive as needing forgiveness.

Feel yourself being healed from the past,

From every word,

Every action,

And every misstep.

Know that this forgiveness is unconditional.

Let it move as far back in time as needed,

And imagine each younger version of yourself,

Whether from an hour ago,

A day ago,

Or decades ago,

Being forgiven and healed.

Let yourself bask in that energy.

Feel yourself becoming lighter as you energetically shake off guilt,

Shame,

And anything else that may block your light,

And anything else that may be weighing you down.

See yourself now as the brightest,

Warmest,

Highest version of yourself.

Depending on the situation,

Forgiving your partner may or may not feel as if it comes easily.

But remember,

This is a practice to serve your highest good,

As well as the highest good for all.

Forgiving others is about freeing ourselves from the bonds of anger,

Rage,

Grief,

Pain,

And all the darkness we tend to associate with the dissolution of a relationship.

Without attaching to it,

Visualize what the energetic chains of anger,

Rage,

Grief,

And pain look like on you as an energetic being.

How do they diminish your capabilities for experiencing joy and creating goodness in the world?

Imagine forgiveness as the key to unlock and release those chains.

Visualize the partner from whom you are parting.

See them also in their highest energetic state.

Remember that they are also a completely fallible human being,

Experiencing a complex life on this earth.

As you see them in a pure light form,

Offer them gratitude for the times that you shared,

And the lessons that you are helping each other learn,

No matter how painful they may be.

Thank them for helping you to grow,

And remember that growth is rarely comfortable.

Let the deep wells of forgiveness that exist in your highest self begin to overflow.

Imagine that you are pouring forgiveness onto this situation and into this person.

Do this as long as you need,

And remember you can always come back to this visualization at any time and at any moment when required.

As forgiveness seeps from you,

Feel yourself becoming lighter and lighter and brighter and brighter.

Visualize this partner also becoming lighter and brighter,

Remembering that the highest good is the highest good for all.

Now,

If there are any others that have not been supportive of you in this process,

Or have harmed you directly or indirectly,

Begin to imagine their energetic selves lining up.

Again,

This could be family,

Friends,

Or others connected to the situation in some way.

As they line up,

Feel the light of forgiveness within you pouring forth like a tidal wave now,

Washing the situation clean.

Remember,

You can never control what another person does.

You can only work with yourself,

Your thoughts,

And your actions.

Feel yourself set free free by the endless ocean of light that resides within you.

Know that it gives you incredible powers to forgive and release yourself.

So release,

Release,

Release.

Radiate light,

Radiate forgiveness,

And feel grace sweeping over the situation and everyone connected to it.

Likewise,

Imagine that grace permeating society and any cultural impediments that can cause further damage,

Injury,

Or suffering in an already difficult situation.

Feel light flooding through the layers of humanity,

Across space and time.

Forgive those who came before,

And those who subscribe to ideals that are not your own.

Feel yourself fully embodying forgiveness.

Forgive,

Forgive,

Forgive.

Feel yourself as completely free in this energy of forgiveness,

Able to access inconceivable strength as you radiate from your highest self.

Again,

Remember that you can come back to these visualizations and to this meditation anytime that you need.

You are both human and light,

And this is all part of the dance.

Know that this energy of forgiveness deeply resides in the layers of your being.

You have the ability to tap into this anytime.

Come back to feeling and seeing that beautiful white and blue light all around you,

And if it resonates for you,

Allow it to continue supporting you,

Swirling around you as you move throughout the rest of your day.

If it doesn't resonate for you,

Simply allow it to start to lift,

Leaving you with a beautiful and vibrant glow.

Deepen your breath again now.

Feel yourself able to breathe more deeply now,

Having taken this time to practice forgiveness today.

Take deeper and deeper breaths,

And when you're ready,

Open your beautiful light-filled eyes.

Feel that light beaming from the inside out,

Guiding you like a spotlight through these coming days.

You are light.

You are free.

My separation is still so new and I feel so raw. I know that eventually, forgiveness will help me feel lighter and freer, but it seems impossible at the moment. This meditation was very emotional for me, and I want to revisit it as I move through this incredibly difficult time. I do believe I will feel better some day.
