Hello,
Friends.
I just wanted to share a quick practice that has helped me through self-blame and helped me soften my body and nervous system through the self-blame.
And helping me to kind of move past it.
Growing up Filipino and having my parents want me to be a doctor,
Want me to be a lawyer,
Want me to be the good boy,
Not the bad boy.
There's many things that.
I was afraid to do because of fear of making mistakes.
Fear of being wrong,
Fear of being not good.
That is all manifested in my body in a sense of blame.
Like I'm the one wrong for doing many things.
And when I discovered hoʻoponopono,
The Hawaiian prayer,
It offered me a space through these phrases to really apply what I had been seeking for,
Instead of blaming myself,
Loving myself,
Instead of blaming myself,
Forgiving myself,
Instead of blaming myself.
Having gratitude for who I am.
And at the end of the day,
Truly,
Truly loving who I am.
Instead of trying to continue to blame myself for who I should have become.
So.
What I want you to do is a very,
Very heavy topic,
But I just want you to inhale with me here.
And exhale,
Expressed out,
Ah.
Inhaling again.
Expressed out.
Oh.
Inhaling again,
Closing your eyes if you want.
Exhaling out gently closing your eyes if you have not yet,
And I would love to welcome you.
To embracing yourself gently,
Hugging the sides of your body just in a comfortable position.
And I want to invite you to inhale through the nose.
And exhale out through the mouth.
Through a straw.
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhaling out through the mouth through a straw.
As you do that,
Squeeze,
Hug yourself just a little tighter.
Inhaling again through the nose.
Exhaling out through the mouth.
Squeezing,
Hugging yourself.
Returning to your normal breath.
And I want you to feel safe in a space to recall.
Up in the body.
And in your memory.
How?
Self-blame field.
Gently asking your body.
It is safe.
To feel the blame.
Where do you live within me?
It is safe.
To feel the blame.
Where do you live in me?
Gently asking the body where blame lives in you and allowing that to arise.
If it feels a little overwhelming,
Just gently hug yourself a little tighter.
And wherever the blame arises in the body,
I want you to inhale through the nose.
And exhale out through a straw.
Releasing that plane.
Inhaling blame.
Exhaling out freedom.
Inhaling the sensations of blame.
Exhaling out compassion.
Inhaling,
Breathe.
Exhaling out forgiveness.
As you recall the sensations of blame in the body.
I want you to gently squeeze yourself through a hug of comfort,
Love,
And compassion.
And repeat these words after me.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I thank you.
I love you.
Repeating again these phrases.
But towards your blame.
And the sensations of your plane.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I thank you.
I love you.
Inhaling the sensations of blame.
Exhaling out through the mouth,
Releasing and softening the blame.
Repeating those phrases one more time.
Hugging your body even tighter.
Bringing a smile to your face.
Squeeze as tight as you can here through these words.
And repeating these words to the body.
And yourself.
I love you.
Squeeze tight.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I thank you.
I love you.
I can squeeze a little tighter.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
I thank you.
I love you.
One more time,
Tighter you can do it.
It might feel a little tough.
Tighten,
Squeeze,
Hug yourself.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
You.
Inhaling together.
Squeezing tight and exhaling out,
Letting go.
Of the hug.
And the tension.
Inhaling together.
Exhaling out.
Feeling all the blame diminish into the ground.
Inhaling together.
Exhaling out.
Feeling a wave of love.
Forgiveness.
Compassion and gratitude.
Towards self.
Towards all that you have experienced.
And towards this moment.
Of embracing.
You're blind.
Releasing it.
Embracing yourself and your body.
And restoring.
Your sense of love.
And sell for it.
And grace.
For all that you are.
All that you have experienced.
And hope.
For all that is yet to come.
To come.
Inhaling together.
Exhaling out.
Gently wiggling the fingertips and toes.
Keeping the eyes closed,
But bringing your hands to your heart.
Thanking yourself for this practice.
Keeping the smile on your face,
Hugging yourself,
Thanking yourself for all.
That you are.
Inhaling.
Gently opening your eyes,
Reaching out to the sky.
Yawn if you need to.
Hovering the arms down to the side,
Cleansing the energy.
Inhaling all the way out.
Bringing your energy that is now softened.
Returning to general breath,
Natural breath.
Looking around the room.
Noticing the sensations of the body.
Maybe the warmth in your body,
Maybe the coolness in your body,
The warmth in the hands.
Thank you for joining in this practice,
And I hope it helps soften any self-blame for you.
Take care.
