Let's start with a few deep breaths and then settle into a natural rhythm of our breath.
Take a moment to connect with your body,
Noticing your posture,
Maybe shifting the weight so that there's a central channel for the breath.
Now you can invite some curiosity into the breath,
Noticing how it manifests in your body,
Seeing if you feel it strongest and the in-breath at your nostrils,
Perhaps in your belly,
Or the rise and fall of the shoulders.
Turning from the body to the mind,
Notice any thoughts that you're carrying with you.
And invite some stillness by seeing the thoughts as clouds that are passing and yourself as the observer of those clouds.
Notice if your thoughts hold a particular texture or color.
You can describe it in the sensory feeling of your body,
Experiencing the thoughts as that third-party observer,
Using the breath as the anchor.
Now let's bring to mind an intention or aspiration.
Noticing how you might want to show up for your day.
And here,
If you choose,
The invitation is to think about also the year of the fire horse,
Which brings with it swift,
Courageous action.
So as you set your intention,
Perhaps that aspiration may reflect on where in your life may swift action be necessary at this time.
Consider this aspiration as a declaration or a statement that you can place out to the universe,
If you choose.
And upon doing so,
Notice the experience in your body.
What does aspiring to swift action in this part of your life feel like in the present moment?
When you've set your aspiration and your declaration and you're ready,
Clear your mind of all thoughts and take a few moments to rest in open awareness.
