Jyothi is an internationally recognized veterinarian boarded in shelter medicine who has been practicing meditation for over 40 years. Her passion project is the Journey You Own, a nonprofit platform for weaving spirituality and awareness through highlighting social injustice, animal welfare, the climate crisis, and education reform. She was raised in a South Indian spiritual household, studying many religions and philosophies as a child. She conducted ethnographic fieldwork during college at an ashram in India where she deepened her meditation practice and has been guiding meditation practices for people working in mission-driven fields. Jyothi resides in California on Ramaytush Ohlone lands with her husband, three kids, two dogs, three cats, and tortoise.
