Take a comfortable seat,
Either sitting up or lying down.
If it helps to physically feel the earth under your feet,
You can place them firmly on the ground or bend your knees if you're lying down.
We will begin by coming into a meditative state through the breath.
Breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.
Just gently acknowledging the rise and fall of your belly as you breathe.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
As you breathe,
Begin to imagine yourself somewhere in nature.
A cool and calming place where you are going for a short walk.
When you look down,
You notice that you have bare feet.
Each time you take a step,
You can feel the soles of your feet touch the earth.
The ground is slightly cold and sends a chill up your spine.
The grass is soft and each blade wraps itself in between your toes as your foot brushes through.
Each step you can feel a deeper connection with nature.
Up ahead,
There is an illuminated tent that looks warm and inviting.
A soft red light calls to you and you decide to enter.
Take a seat in here on the floor amongst the cozy pillows.
Get comfortable and grounded.
If your mind has wandered,
Bring it back to the breath.
Breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.
As you are seated,
Begin to envision a red cube at the base of your spine,
Your root.
Notice how it looks and if it is moving.
Does it feel stagnant and solid,
Flowing and clear,
Bright red or soft?
Are there blocks here?
What feelings does the energy within the cube bring up for you?
Lean into the thoughts,
Images and feelings that arise within the cube.
As you continue to breathe and feel the energy within your root,
Your cube begins to expand.
It gets larger until the red light within it begins to shine out of every corner.
It stretches up your spine along with any feelings of anxiety,
Frustration and panic,
Feelings of being annoyed,
Angry,
Aggressive.
And as you feel the light climb to your throat,
You breathe in and let it all out with a large sigh.
Breathe in and sigh.
With each exhale,
The thoughts,
Images and feelings blocking your root leave your body and create openness within.
The cube now feels lighter,
Clearer and turning at its own speed.
You feel a sense of warmth running through your body and you are ready to take that walk again.
This time as your bare feet hit the ground,
Brushing through the grass,
You feel sturdier,
More connected,
Like roots are growing down from your feet into the earth,
Keeping you safe.
As you walk,
Flowers begin to bloom along your path and you hear a small voice whispering,
From this strong inner foundation,
I know I can handle any situation that comes my way.
I trust the process of life with all its peaks and valleys.
I am optimistic.
I am focused.
I have everything I need within me.
I choose peace and calm.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
As you bring your awareness back to yourself and to the room around you,
Remember the glowing red light within you keeping you safe.
Carry it with you every day.
Allow it to help you find your calm whenever you need it.
