Fall asleep fast in tonight's Yoga Nidra sleep story,

Sleeping Under the Stars.

In this sleepy time adventure,

We will travel through a meadow just before sunset.

The landscape transitions as we reach the base of a tall mountain.

We travel through a dense forest and climb higher and higher until we reach a clearing,

Opening up to the view of the sleepy valley below.

The horizon expands,

Displaying the vastness of the landscape,

The perfect place to camp beneath the stars for the evening,

The sky above a breathtaking canvas of inky blackness,

Seemingly scattered with a thousand tiny diamonds of light,

Stars twinkling like distant beacons of hope through time and space,

Planets shining brightly instilling a sense of strength and stability,

Magnificent beauty like you have never experienced before.

I would like to welcome you to Healing Rest,

My name is Kalyani.

Tonight,

As you follow the sound of my voice,

Allow it to be that of a trusted friend and guide.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful tool for healing and transformation,

And all you have to do is simply float along on the waves of my voice,

Allowing me to guide you deeper and deeper into yourself,

Where you will uncover a deep state of tranquility and ease.

You deserve this time of rest and relaxation.

This nightly ritual will become your inner sanctuary,

A place where you can easily drift off,

Allowing your imagination to run free.

At any point,

Simply release the sound of my voice,

Allowing it to fade into the as a reminder that you are supported,

Guided,

And held as you embrace the magical landscape of make-believe.

So together,

Let's take some time to prepare for our grand adventure.

With relaxation techniques that allow the everyday world to fade into the background.

Wiping the slate clean so we can allow our imagination the freedom to create the perfect dream world.

Each stroke of the brush,

Another layer of beauty,

Contentment,

And deep relaxation.

Take a moment to snuggle under your blanket,

Its warmth embracing you in a layer of safety and ease.

Your room transforming into the perfect sleep sanctuary.

All external sounds soften and fade as we begin to hear the wave-like motion of the breath falling in and the breath falling out without any effort at all.

Allow your breath to soften and lengthen naturally.

Take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs with peace and ease,

And exhale,

Releasing all stress and tension from today.

On your next inhale,

Open your mouth into a big yawn,

And then sigh it all out,

Allowing your breath to be the vehicle that takes you to the most beautiful destinations that you can dream up.

Allow the gentle rhythm of your breath to guide you deeper into relaxation and ease.

We begin the process of turning inward by bringing to mind a heartfelt intention,

A sankalpa.

This is a positive present tense statement that resonates with your deepest self,

Such as I am at peace,

Or I am connected to my inner wisdom.

Once you formulate the words of your personal intention,

Silently repeat your sankalpa three times,

Planting it like a seed in your heart and mind.

Now together,

Let's take a journey of sensation throughout the body,

Scanning the body to discover any tension or tightness hiding out within.

Simply follow my voice,

Resting your attention on each area without effort.

Remain in comfortable stillness as you notice sensation and awaken awareness in every part of your body,

As we flow easily from one part to the next without judgment or expectations.

You cannot do this wrong.

Begin with your right hand,

Flow your awareness to your right thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

Notice sensations in the palm of your right hand,

The back of your hand growing heavy,

Rest your attention for a moment on discovering sensation on the tips of your right fingers,

Wrist,

Welcome your right forearm to soften,

Elbow,

Upper arm.

Feel your right shoulder and invite it to melt into the support of the surface beneath you,

Fully accepting the support being offered.

Now shift to your left hand,

Shine the spotlight of your attention on your left thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger.

Feel sensations in the palm of your left hand,

The back of your hand growing heavy,

Rest your attention for a moment on discovering sensation on the tips of your left fingers,

Wrist,

Allow your left forearm to relax,

Feel your left shoulder release completely,

All responsibilities melting away,

There is nothing more you need to do,

Simply follow the sound of my voice with curiosity,

Bring awareness to your torso,

Notice your chest and ribs,

The passageway of the breath,

A clear channel for prana and the breath to move through,

Feel the rise and fall of each inhale in your belly,

Sense your upper back,

Middle back,

Low back,

Invite your abdomen to soften even more,

As your hips rest heavily into your bed,

Notice sensation in your right upper leg,

The knee,

Lower leg,

Ankle,

Feel your whole right foot,

The heel,

The sole,

The top of the right foot,

And all five toes,

Rest your awareness for a moment on sensations in the tips of your right toes,

The entire right leg heavy,

At ease,

Resting deeply,

Notice sensation in your left upper leg,

The knee,

Lower leg,

Ankle,

Feel your whole left foot,

The heel,

The sole,

The top of the left foot,

And all five toes,

Rest your awareness for a moment on sensations in the tips of your left toes,

The entire left leg heavy,

At ease,

Resting deeply,

Allow both legs to completely relax and release,

Bring awareness to your pelvic floor,

The lower abdomen,

And your whole spine,

Feel your entire back body resting fully,

Notice your neck,

The back of your head,

Your scalp,

Soften your jaw,

Your cheeks,

Your eyes,

And forehead,

Welcome your entire face to relax as if it's floating in the air,

In a pool of calm,

Right eyebrow,

Left eyebrow,

Rest in the space between the eyebrows,

Right eye,

Left eye,

Both eyes together,

Right cheek,

Left cheek,

Both cheeks together,

Right ear,

Left ear,

Both ears hearing sounds,

Bottom jaw heavy,

Whole mouth,

Creating space between upper and lower teeth,

Then rest for a moment in the space between the teeth,

Observe any residual tastes on your tongue,

Nose,

Tip of the nose,

Right nostril,

Left nostril,

Both nostrils together,

Observing the aroma of the space around you,

Feel your whole body now,

From head to toe as one field of awareness,

Notice the temperature of the air on your skin,

The weight of your clothes and blanket,

Feel the warmth of the air around you,

Deeply connected,

Tranquil,

And aware,

Sense the warmth,

The weight,

And feel your body is completely at rest,

Deeply relaxed,

Yet awake and ready to explore deeper,

Now together,

Let's set off on our adventure to reach the mountaintop,

We begin by crossing a meadow just before sunset,

A vast expanse of emerald green grass,

Swaying in the fresh air,

Spring breeze,

The sun still warms our skin as it slowly descends towards the horizon,

We watch the dramatic shift from bright daylight to a canvas of vibrant colors coming alive in the sky,

Fiery yellow melting into warm orange,

Then hues of crimson and magenta,

The wispy white clouds drift lazily as they become illuminated by the setting sun,

Taking on the same rich tones appearing like brushstrokes of the divine in the sky,

As the sun dips below the horizon,

It creates a breathtaking spectacle of light and shadow,

Casting fleeting shadows on the vibrant wildflowers below,

There is a buzz of excitement as we embark on this journey,

Our hearts are happy and light,

The soothing melody of wind through the trees,

And birds chirping sets the tone of peaceful contentment,

All of the world's noise and urgency fades away,

There is only the sound of the rhythm of our steps,

Each stride different than the last,

Some steps we feel the soft green grass beneath our feet,

A feeling of comfort and ease,

Other steps we feel the sun-hardened earth supporting us with her strength,

The scent of sun-baked earth blending perfectly with a subtle fragrance of wildflowers,

The breeze carries a nostalgic flowery sweet scent that puts a smile on your face,

Evoking memories of summer evenings and youthful love,

You can almost taste a burst of sugary sweetness,

As you envision bringing that honeysuckle blossom to your lips,

Releasing that single drop of intoxicating nectar,

The landscape transitions as we reach the base of the mountain,

A dense forest waiting for us to explore,

The air becomes cooler under the shade of the canopy of trees,

The breeze is now tinged with a deep earthy smell of pine needles and damp leaves underfoot,

The light becomes muted and ethereal as the full moon rises higher and higher in the sky,

The delicate symphony of nature quiets down as all of the forest creatures settle in for the night,

It feels like we are entering a distant realm where nature's beauty and tranquility are amplified,

As we venture deeper the trees stand guard surrounding us like a protective fortress,

As our ascent continues the path becomes a mere suggestion of a trail,

A barely there ribbon of pale brown,

Snaking its way upward through a labyrinth of towering trunks,

Their bark rough and textured,

The distant trickling of a murmuring stream adds to the symphony of sounds,

As dry leaves crunch underfoot,

And we hear the rustle of unseen creatures settling in for the night,

A feeling of peace,

A world away from everyday life,

The quiet pulse of nature's resting heartbeat,

Then the trees begin to thin out revealing the rugged beauty of the mountain,

The valley below a patchwork of greens and browns,

Dotted with pops of color,

Like an intricate map of a distant land,

The problems that seem so large in the valley shrink to insignificance,

As you connect fully to nature,

Embraced by a sense of belonging,

There is a feeling of detachment from the world of stress below,

As you become an observer of the vast interconnected world,

And the horizon expands a panorama of natural artistry,

Displaying the vastness of the landscape below,

Leaving you humbled and filled with a sense of wonder,

Instilling a sense of awe,

Quiet determination,

And deep gratitude for the ability to be on this journey with our trusted friends,

As we discover a clearing,

The perfect place to set up camp for the night,

Your body heavy with exhaustion,

Muscles aching from the hike,

Feet throbbing,

Then you sink into the soft insulated cocoon of your sleeping bag,

You feel the bag's cool fabric against your skin,

Quickly warmed by your body heat,

A moment of pure relief as your tired limbs relax,

Almost melting with quiet triumph,

A reward for the day's effort,

And crawling into your sleeping bag feels like sweet surrender,

You tune into the tranquility of the silence that is palpable,

The only sounds for miles are the rustling of little creatures unseen,

In the underbrush,

The occasional chirping of crickets,

And the quiet breeze through the leaves,

The silence of the night soothes your mind and allows for introspection,

A curiosity of what is unfolding within your inner landscape,

Feeling that you are connected to something much larger than yourself,

The air feels fresh,

Pure,

And cool against the skin,

The woody scent of the campfire lingers,

A comforting reminder of warmth,

It blends with the faint smell of nylon and the earthy musk of the wilderness,

Grounding you in the present moment,

You begin to follow the rhythm of your relaxed breath as it just naturally slows down,

And the breath falls in,

And the breath falls out,

And you begin to align yourself to the natural wave-like motion of your breath,

Tuning into the rhythm of letting go and releasing,

And the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of inky blackness,

Seemingly scattered with a thousand sparkling diamonds,

Twinkling stars instilling a sense of strength and stability,

Pulsing with a soft glow,

Each star unique,

Some bright,

Some faint,

As earth's atmosphere bends their light,

They seem to dance,

Playfully winking in and out,

Planets shining brightly,

Like a distant beacon of hope,

Their light a strong and steady unwavering glow,

The consistency of their radiance feels reliable and grounding,

As if they alone anchor the chaos of the sky,

Constellations emerge as you recognize familiar shapes in the sky,

Weaving a shimmering tapestry of stories across the sky and time,

A sense of wonder washes over you as you realize the vastness of the universe,
