Hi,
Friends.
Thank you for joining me today to quickly melt tension out of your mind and body.
My name's Kalyani,
And I'll be guiding you on this short journey within.
Please find a quiet place to sit and practice.
Sitting in a comfortable chair,
Place your feet flat on the floor,
And really feel your feet in contact with the ground underneath you,
Allowing your eyes to gently close or simply gaze down at the floor by your feet.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine that just like a tree,
We can grow roots through the feet deep into the earth,
Growing our roots deep and wide so that we can feel strong and steady.
Now place your hands on your belly,
And as we inhale,
Fill up the belly like a balloon.
As we exhale,
Squeeze out every last drop of air,
Creating even more space for our next inhalation.
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths,
Noticing the rise and fall of the breath within the belly.
Now as you continue breathing deeply into the belly,
Scan your body for any tightness,
Any tension,
And begin to send it all down through your body,
Allowing that tension to melt from the top of the head all the way down to the feet,
Down through your roots,
Deep into the earth.
Like any good mother,
Earth wants to take all of your worries,
All of your concerns.
Send her your stress and tension.
Give her your anger and frustration,
Allowing the mind and body to grow empty,
Empty,
Empty.
Then notice a warm,
Healing sensation coming up through your roots and spreading from the feet all the way up to the top of the head,
The entire body comfortably warm and relaxed.
Imagine each and every cell within illuminated with this warm,
Healing energy.
Now slowly bring the attention back to the space around the body,
Noticing the sounds around you,
And feel the weight of your body resting on the chair.
When you are ready,
Slowly blink the eyes open with gratitude for this moment of peace within,
Remembering we can come back to this feeling of peace and calm at any point throughout our day by simply deepening our breath.
I hope you will join me again soon in deep gratitude,
Kalyani.
