Hi,
I'm Kate.
Thanks for joining.
Let's set you up to handle whatever comes at you today.
Take a moment to settle wherever you are,
Sitting,
Standing,
Even walking slowly.
It doesn't matter.
You don't need silence.
You don't need perfect conditions.
You just need a few minutes to reset.
So,
Before the day gathers pace,
Before the decisions begin to pile up,
Let's give your system a moment to come back to centre.
There's nothing that you need to fix.
This is simply a pause.
Bring your attention to your breathing.
No need to change it yet,
Just notice.
Is it shallow,
Choppy,
Sitting high in your chest?
This is what happens automatically when we're anxious,
Stressed,
Fearful.
Let's try some conscious breathing.
Start by gently lengthening your next exhale.
Inhale through your nose for 1,
2,
3,
4.
Exhale slowly through your nose 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Again,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4.
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Keep that rhythm going.
The inhale is steady and easy.
The exhale slow and unforced.
That longer exhale is important.
It signals your nervous system that you're under no immediate pressure.
It creates space for you to think clearly,
To respond calmly,
To move through your day without rushing your body.
Keep your breath moving,
Slow and steady.
Each exhale can be a quiet reset.
Let the shoulders soften down away from your ears on your next exhale.
Then soften your jaw.
Then ease the tightness in the space behind your eyes.
Let go of counting now.
Breath returns to its own rhythm.
Notice though that it's moving easier now.
It's deeper,
Smoother,
Grounding.
As this day begins,
There may already be a list forming.
Things to respond to,
People to support,
Decisions waiting.
Just pause for a moment.
You have handled days like this before.
You've solved problems.
You've adapted.
You've figured things out as you went along.
You don't need to know everything right now.
You just need to take the next step when it appears.
There's a steadiness in you that does not disappear under pressure.
It might get quieter,
But it's still there.
Let today unfold one piece at a time.
You don't have to carry the whole day at once.
You don't have to hold every outcome in your head.
Just meet what's in front of you.
Then the next thing and the next.
Remember you are capable,
You are resourced and you do not have to rush.
Bring your attention back to your body again.
Feel your hands,
Your feet.
Feel the all important steady rhythm of your breath.
This is your base.
No matter how busy things get,
You can return here and reset.
One deep,
Full breath in.
One long,
Slow breath out.
Often that's all it takes to steady your system.
Carry this steadiness into your day.
You don't need to be perfect.
You don't need to be everywhere at once.
You just need to be present,
Responsive,
Grounded.
You can handle what comes.
And when things feel like they're building,
You simply pause.
You come back to your breath and you begin again.
Thanks for joining me.
You can handle today.
I know you can.
Good luck.
