Our daily lives often tire us,

They can separate us from joy,

But if we let it in,

Night can help,

Rest can connect us again.

Close your eyes and breathe in deep,

Acknowledge the fatigue,

Then try to sink beneath it to the real you waiting below.

It's so easy to lose ourselves under layer upon layer of effort,

And it takes a while to shed that skin,

To strip ourselves bare once again,

But night is the time to do it.

These magical,

Restorative hours,

It's then we remember why we tried in the first place and decide we can do it all again,

So find that pure you deep within.

Greet yourself with a smile,

Take your hand and settle in,

Get ready for the dance.

Feel your essence as you pull in a breath,

Feel its power grow as you exhale the excess.

It may seem like you've forgotten how to let your soul move with abandon,

But the memory of bliss never leaves you,

It sits patiently and waits for the call.

It remembers what sets your heart on fire,

It knows what you long for the most.

It's ready to leap into action whenever you give it the sign.

Start with some inner music,

Hear the melody of your yearnings,

Let the song travel through your body,

Waking mind and cells alike.

See yourself in motion,

Admire your strength and grace,

Feel the moves come back to you,

Ignited by the power of your song.

Enjoy the rhythm of your breathing,

The way it lifts you up,

Let the nourishing air fill you and release and make space for more.

Why do we forget to dance when life starts its rapid movement?

Why do we send bliss into hiding just when our spirits need it the most?

It's time to break the chain,

To close your eyes and see yourself as a joyful,

Dancing soul.

Imagine how you'll feel in the morning,

Fresh from a night of gleeful twirling,

Glowing and smiling,

Ready to face a fresh new day.

Feel that smile deep within,

Breathe its joy into your chest,

Send that smile out into the world,

Sharing your joy with all.

Think about your younger days,

The way you used to dance,

Picture yourself shaking everything loose as you move across the floor.

Remember how free you used to feel when you gave in to the music with relish,

See your hair flying and your hands fluttering,

Your hips swaying and your heart thumping once again.

You are carefree once again,

Your soul celebrates once again,

Bliss leads the way.

Feel your lungs sing as you breathe in,

Feel at one with your body as you breathe out.

Think about what might be different if you let your soul dance regularly.

Think about who you might be in the daylight if you spend your nights being free.

Perhaps there are other things you might feel inspired to try now that your soul has come to life again.

Now that you remember your self-expression,

Maybe others will see the change in you and want to feel it themselves.

You can help others simply by being yourself.

Breathe in the possibilities,

The joy you've set in motion,

Breathe out any negative voices,

The whispers that stand in your way.

There's so much waiting within you,

So much you need to share.

Soul dancing is just the beginning,

Practice that leads to more.

Tune into the music once again,

To the melody you hold within.

Let the notes soothe you like a lullaby,

Feel the peace of a job well done.

Not only have you listened to your heart's powerful voice,

You've also glimpsed the joy you need and you've gifted it to yourself.

Sleep deeply,

And know that all is well.

You'll wake to greet a better you,

And once the new day comes to an end,

You can find the joy anew.

For now though,

Let your body rest.

Your soul needs peaceful slumber,

Just like the rest of you.

Let it wrap you in a cocoon of gratitude as you drift deeper into sleep.

The night can be so beautiful when we're willing to set ourselves free.

The day can be so wonderful when we've glimpsed the possibilities.

Namaste.

Beautiful.
