Let's imagine going outdoors and lying in nature under the shade of a tree.

Giving yourself a little time in the solace of nature.

Imagine you are lying down on a soft fuzzy blanket.

You're outside under a shady tree.

You feel the sun's warmth and radiance.

You see its light shimmering through the leaves.

It's not too sunny.

Not too shady.

It's just right.

There's a soft,

Gentle breeze.

You feel the warmth of the sun on your face.

And it's gently warming your skin from the outside in.

The sun continues to warm the fabric that you're wearing and the space around you like a warm embrace.

Notice the birds chirping in the distance.

Tune into the sounds around you,

Both near and far.

As you relax,

Sense the energy of the tree.

It's vibrant and full of life.

Notice the hundreds of leaves,

The branches extending outward.

Trace the lines of the tree trunk with your eyes.

Watch how the branches reach and stretch.

Notice the texture of the bark.

Notice the points of light,

The shadows,

And the way the tree moves.

Feel the tree's stability rooted deep into the earth.

As the breeze moves the leaves,

Let your breath move with it as well.

The leaves extend out,

Reaching for the sun like a vast umbrella.

The leaves and the branches swing gently in the wind.

Imagine the sound of the rustling branches,

The soft sound of the leaves moving,

And the gentle stir of the grass around you.

Once again,

Feel the sun's rays touching your skin.

Notice the patches of light and shadow,

A canvas of light and dark,

A mixture of greens,

Browns,

Tans,

And the great blue sky behind it all.

You see the shape of the tree silhouetted against the blue sky.

Listen for the birds again.

Sense the richness of the colors,

The vibrancy of the tree against the sky.

With each breath,

Allow your body to relax even more.

Feel yourself sink into the blanket and into the earth beneath you,

Fully supported.

Next,

Imagine a loving animal beside you.

Maybe it's your pet,

Or a family pet,

A friend's pet,

Or any gentle animal.

They are lying next to you on the blanket,

Slowly drifting to sleep.

Imagine how soothing it would be to nap together under the shade of the tree,

Both of you so comfortable,

So at ease.

Let your body relax more.

Feel the earth cradle beneath you.

Soften from your head to your toes.

Relax more.

You hear the gentle,

Soft sigh of the animal,

Signaling their deep relaxation.

Imagine this sound helps you to relax even more.

As you glance toward them,

Notice the texture of their fur or their skin,

The outline of their ears and face silhouetted against the grass and the blanket.

Notice your body breathing,

Feel how relaxed you are becoming,

So relaxed that you might begin to drift off yourself.

So relaxed under the tree,

With the sleeping animal in the perfect temperature,

Drifting off,

Resting for sleep.

Let yourself go into the moment under the shaded tree.

Let yourself relax completely here.

Just let yourself ease into relaxation and drift off.
