This meditation is for you if you're wanting to nurture a sense of grounding that will help you enter creative flow.
To begin,
Find a comfortable position.
If you're able to sit up with your spine tall and chest lifted,
Head over heart,
I encourage you to do so.
But the most important thing is to tune into your body with tenderness and dignity and find a posture you can embody for the next few moments.
Take your time arriving.
You might have the urge to fidget and adjust.
That's okay.
Release perfectionism.
Appreciate that you are taking this moment for yourself.
Take a deep breath and see if it helps you settle.
In through your nose,
Allowing the air to inflate your stomach as you inhale.
As you release through your mouth,
Let it all go and feel your body sink into a calm stillness.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Each one fuller and more rich than the one before,
Each one relaxing you more than the one before.
In,
Out,
In,
Out.
In,
Out.
Return to your natural breath,
Which your body knows how to breathe perfectly without your trying.
Take a moment here to stir up an intention for today,
Something that holds meaning to you.
It could be to keep yourself open to new possibilities.
It could be to be extra generous or to move more slowly,
Paying attention to the little things.
Perhaps your intention is to reevaluate a frustrating situation or to call upon a sense of gratitude for a part of yourself you'd usually take for granted.
It's okay to keep the intention simple.
It's okay to let the intention be ambitious.
Whatever you have gravitated towards is the right thing.
Keep your intention front of mind.
Call upon your imagination to visualize what it will be like to move through the day with this intention.
How does it feel?
Can you associate a texture with the feeling,
A color,
A luminance?
Call this all to mind and imagine your intention as a seed that you plant in your center.
You can place both hands on your heart and as your chest rises and falls to the rhythm of your breath,
Imagine that your intention expands.
Each exhale,
It spreads further throughout your torso,
Down your arms,
Up your neck to your head,
Down your legs to your toes,
Until your body is glowing with this wonderful intention.
You are the intention.
You live the intention.
You are a creative being with a powerful and beautiful imagination that you can always trust,
That you are always at home with.
Your experiences,
Your desires are totally unique to you and your authenticity is the most valuable thing that you can share in your practice.
Take one more deep breath.
We get to open your eyes,
Adjusting to the environment around you.
Thank you for meditating with me.
I hope you have an amazing day and discover pleasure in all of your endeavors.
