Hi,
This is Kim Carmen Walsh,
Welcoming you to tonight's guided sleep meditation.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
There is absolutely nothing that you need to do.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Just allow yourself to relax as you listen to this recording.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
In this session you will visit a beautiful apothecary garden and shop.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A place where you experience,
Know and feel peace and healing.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A place within of space and light.
.
.
.
.
.
Before drifting into a deep and restorative sleep.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Please make yourself comfortable in your bed.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And when you are ready.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Take a deep breath in.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And as you slowly breathe out.
.
.
.
.
.
Close your eyes and begin to relax.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Bringing your attention to your breath now.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Breathing deeply in.
.
.
.
.
.
And slowly out.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
With each slow breath in.
.
.
.
.
.
And each slow breath out.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can begin to let go of the day.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
To let go of your thoughts.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Breathing yourself this time.
.
.
.
.
.
This space.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
To allow everything to slow down.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Breathing deeply in.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And slowly out.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And if you find your mind wandering at all.
.
.
.
.
.
It's perfectly fine.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
When you notice this.
.
.
.
.
.
Just gently and lightly bring your attention back to the sounds you now hear.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The sound of my voice.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The sound of the music.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Perhaps noticing to any sounds in your room.
.
.
.
.
.
Or outside.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So that every sound you hear only helps you to relax more deeply.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Noticing also the space beneath the sounds.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The silence between the words.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Surrendering to the deeper peace.
.
.
.
.
.
Quietness that are always with you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
How good it feels to just let go.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Breathing slowly in.
.
.
.
.
.
And slowly out.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And as your mind begins to settle and still.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can sense your entire body relax more deeply.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
That you feel yourself sinking deeply down into your bed.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And in your mind's eye now.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can see yourself standing at a gate that leads into a low stone walled garden.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
It is the end of a warm and sunny day.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The sun is setting behind you.
.
.
.
.
.
And the garden ahead is bathed in a pink coral light.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can hear the birds softly chirping in the trees that surround the edge of this large garden.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And you see a little robin just beyond the garden gate.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Hopping through some of the fallen leaves beneath a honeysuckle plant.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can hear the soft rustle and crinkle of the leaves as he lightly steps and pecks beneath the plants.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You slowly push open the garden gate.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And the little robin flutters up onto a branch of a plum tree.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Stepping onto the stone paved garden path.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The scent of lavender and jasmine is born to you in the fragrant earthy tones of this magical garden.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You are aware of the soft warmth of the afternoon sun that holds a hint of coolness that lets you know of the gathering late afternoon rainstorm.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
As you turn to close the garden gate.
.
.
.
.
Looking at the sky beyond.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can see the gathering rain clouds.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And where the sunlight is still breaking through the gathering clouds.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
It is a light with the most vivid colours of pink.
.
.
.
.
.
And orange.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Stepping in deeply.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You smell the coming rain.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And you begin walking slowly through this garden.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Aware of each footstep along the garden path.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Looking at the many colourful flowers and herbs.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And you can see many of the favourites.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Such as sage,
Cone flowers,
Lavender,
Marigolds to name a few.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And the flower and herb beds are edged with a low box hedge.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
It is a garden that is both wild and formal at the same time.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Continuing to walk through this beautiful tranquil place.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
With each slow footstep you become aware of a sensation of wellbeing.
.
.
.
.
.
A sense of loving kindness that emanates from this garden and flows through you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can feel,
See,
Experience a resonance and deep peace.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A joy that just is.
.
.
.
.
.
Beyond words and thoughts.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You begin to feel the first few raindrops on your skin.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And in the distance you can hear the soft rumble of thunder.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You reach the end of the garden path that has led you to an old sandstone building.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Surrounding the door is the most abundant and beautiful climbing rose with fragrant apricot coloured and light peach blossoms.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Perhaps the prettiest roses you have ever seen.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Standing at the entrance to the apothecary stall.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You push open the large green door.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Step over the threshold and into the inviting warmth and soothing sense.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The door closes softly behind you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And you see.
.
.
.
.
Feel.
.
.
.
.
Experience yourself standing in the cosy sanctuary of the apothecary.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The rainstorm is becoming heavier and you can hear the splash of the raindrops against the windowpane.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Along with the occasional roll of thunder in the distance.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
But the warmth and the serenity of this beautiful stall envelops you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You feel safe and protected.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Allowing sensations of ease.
.
.
.
.
.
Tranquility.
.
.
.
.
.
And contentment to flow through you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Through your mind.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Through your body.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You begin to walk slowly through the shop.
.
.
.
.
.
Across the beautifully polished floorboards.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And with each slow footstep.
.
.
.
.
.
You breathe in deeply.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Aware of the soothing fragrance that diffuses the air.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Within the apothecary you have the sensation of stepping back in time for an old world charm and quiet.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A place tucked away from the modern world.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Directly ahead of you in the middle of the shop is a large wooden round table.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Upon which you see a large flickering lantern.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Towards the back of the shop you see the counter.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Behind this there is a floor to ceiling wall of wooden shelving.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Each shelf is filled with many apothecary potions and mixtures.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
It is a large shop that is softly lit from above by a Victorian lantern chandelier.
.
.
.
.
.
That hangs from the centre of the high ceiling.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The dancing flames of the lanterns cast shadows across the herb jars.
.
.
.
.
.
And the shelves have a tall wooden ladder that can be moved along the rails in the floor and top shelf to reach the highest items.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The many hundreds of glass and ceramic jars are in various sizes,
Shapes and colours.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Each labelled with the names of the contents.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You also see that the floor to ceiling shelves stretch around one side of the stall.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And on the opposite side you see a large open fireplace.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
With two armchairs set either side of the chimney breast.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The flames are gently flickering.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Eminating a warm and healing glow.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The warmth that you feel is the most perfect temperature for you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The most perfect flicker of the firelight is accompanied by the soft crackling sound of the burning logs.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Set within the back shelving.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You see two doors on opposite sides of the room.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
One door is a large dark wooden door.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Its top half is set with a large glass window pane.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
This door is slightly ajar.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The glass in the door is clear.
.
.
.
.
.
But it has a thickness and slight distortion to its appearance Giving you the impression of it being made in centuries past.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Glancing through the pain of this door.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You see the parlour room beyond where the apothecaryst is working.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Measuring different herbs into a variety of brown paper envelopes.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You can hear the gentle bubble of the distilling apparatus in that room.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Concorting beautifully scented remedies.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The opposite door within the back wooden shelves is also a large dark wooden door.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
But this one does not have the glass panel.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So at the moment you are not sure what lies beyond that door.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You continue to walk slowly each footstep allowing the tranquility,
Peace and comfort of this place to help you relax more deeply.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Soft waves of calm and contentment flowing through you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Feeling deeper and deeper relaxed.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You decide to open this other wooden door at the back of the apothecary.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And immediately you find yourself in the most comfortable bed.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You are feeling relaxed and sleepy.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The fresh cotton bed linen feels soft against your skin.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And you begin to drift and float down into sleep.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Allowing the healing energy of this guided meditation to flow through you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So that you sleep deeply throughout the night.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Awaking only at a time that you set for yourself.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Feeling relaxed.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Restored.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Rejuvenated.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
There is absolutely nothing that you need to do.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Just relax.
.
.
.
.
.
And listen.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Pursieving in your everyday state.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Growing sensations of well-being.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Strength.
.
.
.
.
.
And happiness.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Knowing that these are always accessible to you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Just beyond your thoughts.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Beyond your judgements.
.
.
.
.
.
And criticisms.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
To continue to relax now.
.
.
.
.
.
And drift easily into the landscape of your dreams.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Your mind continuing to process the positive suggestions of this meditation while you sleep.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So that you give yourself brief moments in the day to be quiet.
.
.
.
.
.
And still.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Knowing a place within that helps you to step away from the outside world.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
To experience deeper levels of ease.
.
.
.
.
.
And tranquility.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Such contentment as you drift blissfully down into sleep.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Sleep rural of the water.
