This is Kim here,

Welcoming you to this meditation that is designed to help you drift into sleep naturally and deeply.

This recording can be listened to as you are going to sleep.

It should only be listened to when you can take some time for yourself and relax undisturbed.

Please do not listen to this recording if you are driving or operating machinery.

So when you are ready,

Making yourself comfortable in your bed,

Take a deep breath in.

So that you continue to perceive insights into the best course of action in any given moment.

Knowing always that you are capable,

Wise,

Courageous and kind.

Feeling a growing patience with yourself and with others.

A higher degree of loving kindness towards the life that you are.

To the lives of others.

Which in turn reflects back to you.

And during this session,

You'll drift easily and naturally into a deep and restorative sleep.

To awake refreshed and optimistic at a time that you set for yourself.

And should you need to wake either during this session or at any time during the night,

You will do so.

And you'll be easily able to fall back to sleep.

You see yourself standing on the terrace of a beautiful French chateau.

Breathing in deeply.

You infuse the tranquillity of this special place into your body.

Into your mind.

The place within that resonates with the serenity of this beautiful place.

And looking out towards the garden beyond the terrace of the chateau.

And you notice that the terrace is surrounded with a balustrade over which are growing fragrant roses and climbing flowers.

.

And just ahead of you there is a gap in the balustrade where some steps lead down into the garden.

.

.

.

In a moment,

I'm going to guide you slowly and safely down the steps.

Each step down feeling deeper and deeper relaxed.

.

.

.

Filled with a wonderful sense of wellbeing and inner peace.

.

So see yourself now standing at the top of the steps.

And you take your first step down on 10 relaxed content.

You're in the garden.

Walking slowly and lazily through this peaceful place.

Each step feeling more and more relaxed.

Looking about you.

.

.

.

You see the hundreds of different shades of green.

.

.

.

It's as if you are seeing the world before you for the very first time.

.

.

.

And the colourful blossoms of the flowers.

.

.

.

And the leaves of the trees are swaying in the gentlest of breezes.

.

.

.

And the breeze is the most perfect temperature to you.

.

.

.

Feeling the soft warmth of the setting sun on your skin.

.

.

.

Fills you with a deeper sense of serenity.

.

.

.

An inner peace that you have ever known before.

.

.

.

And the fragrance of the flowers.

.

.

.

The comforting scent of nectar and earthy tones is born to you on the soft breeze.

.

.

.

Further enhancing your connection with this garden.

.

.

.

You can hear the tingle of water from the nearby water fountain.

.

.

.

And in this vision.

.

.

.

You may wish to remove your shoes.

.

.

.

To feel the cool refreshing sensation of the grass beneath your bare feet.

.

.

.

The sense of earthing yourself.

.

.

.

Allowing the nurturing energy of the earth to flow through your body.

.

.

.

Through your mind.

.

.

.

With each step more relaxed.

.

Happy.

.

.

.

Content.

.

.

.

And you see just ahead of you a large reclining chair that's covered in luxurious cushions.

.

So continuing talk slowly towards this reclining chair.

.

And when you get there.

.

.

.

You decide to lie down.

.

.

.

Making yourself comfortable.

.

.

.

And should you need it.

.

.

.

There's a blanket that you can pull over yourself.

.

.

.

Feelings are very peaceful.

.

.

.

Connected with the nature of this garden.

.

.

.

And all the beauty that surrounds you.

.

.

.

A sense of freedom that you perceive by being outside.

.

.

.

Beneath the wide open sky.

.

.

.

And the sun is setting in the distance.

.

.

.

Casting rays of gold and pink across the garden.

.

.

.

The whole scene bathed in pinky golden rays.

.

.

.

And as you lie there.

.

.

.

You bring your attention to your body.

.

.

.

Aware of the sensation of heaviness.

.

.

.

A feeling of your body sinking more deeply down.

.

.

.

And very soon.

.

.

.

I will guide your attention slowly and gently down your entire body.

.

.

.

And as your attention travels softly over your body.

.

.

.

You feel more and more relaxed.

.

.

.

Your muscles letting go.

.

.

.

So that every part of you feels soothed and caressed.

And as your body relaxes.

Your mind too.

Feels quieter and quieter.

To perceive the still depths of your being.

Drifting down to sleep.

Naturally.

And easily.

So starting now at the top of your head.

And travelling slowly.

Lightly down to your forehead.

And as your attention travels over.

You perceive the sensation of a healing touch.

Just gently caressing your skin.

Aware of your muscles letting go.

A beautiful sense of wellbeing.

Of ease and contentment.

Allowing your muscles to smooth and relax.

The soft balm of your awareness continuing down over your eyes.

So soft and gentle.

Releasing all those tiny muscles around your eyes.

Moving on down your face.

.

Softly over your cheeks.

Across your lips.

And your jaw.

Parting your teeth just a little.

Noticing how good it feels to let go.

Sinking more deeply into your bed.

As your awareness.

The healing touch of your attention.

Now travelling slowly down the back of your neck.

And softly across your shoulders.

So still.

And quiet.

Drifting deeper and deeper down.

Slowly on down your arms.

To your hands.

All the way down to your fingertips.

And breathing in.

And breathing out.

Your attention now moves softly across your chest.

And gently.

Lightly down to your tummy.

Now moving across your upper back.

And slowly down.

All the way down to your lower back.

Letting go to deeper levels of relaxation.

Tranquility.

Aware of the entire relaxed energy field of your body as you lie there.

Perceiving the gentle loving kindness that is always with you.

Casting its warm rays across the deep violet purple of the lavender.

You can feel the gentle warmth of the sun on your skin.

Filling you with a sense of contentment.

.

.

.

And connection with nature.

.

.

.

You can see small birds flying.

.

.

.

And gliding gently in the sky above you.

.

.

.

And softly chirping their goodnights.

.

.

And you feel.

.

.

.

See yourself now.

Walking lazily and happily through the lavender field.

Aware of the stems and the lavender flowers softly brushing against your skin.

You can smell the warm scent of the lavender.

A healing and calming natural perfume.

Born to you on the gentlest of warm breezes.

Looking ahead of you.

You see the lavender swaying and undulating.

As a soft breeze moves with the lightest of touches over the field.

Like a sea that's the colour of violet purple.

A breeze across the field.

Appearing like gentle rolling waves.

As the warm breeze glides gently across the lavender.

Laserly walking through the lavender field.

Aware of the natural peace and serenity of the landscape through which you are walking.
