My name is Linda Hall and I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.
Today's meditation will help boost your self-esteem and well-being using a combination of practices,
Including mindfulness,
Grounding,
Breath awareness,
Loving kindness,
Positive visualization and affirmations.
Allow your eyes to comfortably close.
As you do so,
Bring your awareness down to where the weight of your body rests,
On the surface directly beneath you.
Breathe out down the full length of your body,
Allowing it to soften and release what it's brought with it here and no longer needs to carry.
Notice the support beneath you is steady.
Sit back onto the steadiness.
Let it take more of your weight.
In your own time,
Become aware of the ebb and flow of your breath and the movements your body makes as you breathe.
Notice the sensation as air enters your nostrils and leaves.
Notice the air is cool as it enters,
Warm as it leaves.
Notice the expansion of the in-breath as your shoulders,
Chest and thorax open to receive air.
Notice the softening,
Releasing motion of the out-breath.
Notice how the whole of your body wants to follow the release of the out-breath.
As air flows out,
Allow your body to soften and release what it is carrying.
Let it flow out in a river.
Down,
Out and away.
Allow everything to be exactly as it is without judging it.
In your own time,
Notice that you're breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
Just begin to sense the tapestry of the here and now around you.
The play of light and shade.
The touch of the air on your face and body.
The sounds near and far.
Let it all be there.
It's out to the horizon stretching all the way around you,
Into the distance and beyond.
The height of sky above you.
Notice the spaciousness.
Allow yourself as much space as you need.
You have all of this space to breathe from.
You can breathe from the farthest horizons if you like.
Breathe the spaciousness into you.
Breathe it into places that have got closed off.
Shut down.
Pull up.
Or something else.
Breathe the spaciousness into the you inside.
Take as much as you need.
And allow the you inside to expand to the size you're meant to be.
Let your attitude towards yourself soften and become kinder.
Warmer.
Breathe the warmth of loving kindness into the you inside.
Allow loving kindness to surround all of you like a nest.
This loving kindness sees you,
Hears you,
Understands you completely,
Accepts you totally,
And values you highly,
Exactly as you are right now.
Breathe the loving kindness in and out.
Letting the energy of pure love flow into places within you in need of reassurance,
Comfort,
Healing.
This loving kindness flows in and around you.
Allow the light of the universe in to strengthen and nourish you.
Let the beautiful radiant light in to the deepest parts of you and surround them with its healing.
Allow the light and the loving kindness to bathe and surround every part of you.
Let them bathe and surround the parts of you that have felt self doubt or lacked confidence.
Let the light and loving kindness bathe and surround the parts of you that have been self critical or have struggled in some way.
Allow the radiant light and pure love to heal,
Renew,
And restore every level of your being.
As you let that happen,
Know that you are special.
Know that you are enough,
Just as you are.
As you say the affirmations,
I love and value myself.
I believe and trust in myself.
For you are a child of the universe,
Made of the same stuff as the stars.
Picture the wonders and exquisite beauty of the natural world around you.
The glorious sunrises and sunsets.
The seasons and cycles of renewal and rebirth.
Know that you are as special and as beautiful as all of this.
You have a unique purpose and a right to be here.
You are capable of great things.
Just as nature constantly grows,
Repairs,
And renews,
So too do you.
You are a natural,
Organic being in process,
Perfect in this moment,
Exactly as you are right now.
Thank yourself for being you.
Let yourself know that you are doing ok.
You are doing really well.
Breathe the radiant light and loving kindness in deep.
And send the healing ahead of you into the future to prepare the way for you.
Send the healing back into your past to heal all that needs to be healed.
In your own time,
Bring your attention back to the ebb and flow of your breath.
The weight of your body being supported by the surface directly beneath it.
And when you are ready,
You can draw this meditation to a close.
