Welcome to the Breathing Life into Your Inner Child Meditation.
Get yourself into a comfortable position in a safe place.
Do not listen to this meditation while operating heavy equipment,
Driving a vehicle,
Or while performing any extreme sports.
Now gently close your eyes with that smile still upon your face.
Take a deep breath in,
Following the air into your nose,
Down to your belly,
Back up filling your lungs,
And then let it out slowly,
Following it as it escapes,
Taking all the negative energy with it.
Let's take three more deep breaths just like that.
You will feel your body relaxing more with each breath.
Adjust your position as needed,
As your body sinks deeper.
Imagine your inner child there with you,
Holding your hand as you take a walk together.
You can imagine that you are walking along a soft,
Quiet path in the woods.
Your feet are bare as you walk along the path covered in soft,
Spongy moss,
A path less traveled,
Feeling Mother Earth caressing your toes with each soft step.
Maybe you are on a beach,
Walking through the gentle,
Warm waves lapping at your feet.
Wherever you may be,
Picture the two of you walking in silence together.
There are no words required.
You are both at peace,
Safe from all harm.
You have each other.
Life is good.
Life is so good.
Any thoughts creep in,
Just acknowledge them,
Then let them go.
Whatever it was,
It will be there when you are done.
Let them go fully,
And continue with your walk.
Feel each footstep.
Relax.
Nothing else matters in this moment.
Let everything go.
This is your time together.
Cherish it.
Feel the love.
You are safe.
You are calm.
You are both at peace.
You are one.
Look at each other.
Smile.
Gently squeeze their hand in assurance.
You are no longer alone.
You have each other.
You will take care of each other.
Notice your breath.
Is it slow and steady?
Stop and give your inner child a nice,
Long hug.
Let them know that you are there.
When you are ready,
Slowly bring yourself back into the room.
Gently open your eyes.
Take as long as you need in this quiet moment.
Reach your arms around yourself.
Give yourself a big hug.
Take as long as you need.
Taking a deep breath in and gently blowing it out.
Now go enjoy the rest of your day.
Remember that you are deeply loved.
Namaste.
