We look around the space we're in and notice there's no danger here that matches the level of stress we're feeling. We practice cyclic physiological sighing, a double inhale through the nose and a long exhale through pursed lips, to come back into our body. We explore the idea that our body is our friend, always doing its best for us, and we notice the inner critic that says we shouldn't feel what we feel. We stop being so hard on ourselves and start making kindness a practice. We let nature support us, even if that's just looking outside for a minute or remembering the feeling of our feet on the earth.
