Close your eyes,
Take a breath and let yourself rest.
Notice where your body meets the surface beneath you.
There's a weight,
Contact,
Support.
Let yourself be held by that.
Your breath moves in and it moves out.
Nothing to change,
Nothing to manage,
Just the quiet rhythm that's already there.
You might sense the air passing through your nose or a small rise and fall somewhere in your body.
That movement for now is enough.
As the breath continues,
See if you can notice the pause,
The still space between the in-breath and the out-breath.
You're simply noticing the breath move through you,
The body responding in small ways,
A softening,
A steadying.
The more awareness you bring,
The more your body does what it knows how to do,
Settle,
Recalibrate,
Return to balance.
Stay with a few slow natural breaths,
No need to feel anything in particular,
This is just a moment of quiet observation.
When you're ready,
Take one last easy inhale and an unhurried exhale.
Then,
When it feels right,
Open your eyes.
