A magical journey awaits your child as they drift off to sleep. As they engage their imagination, your child's room will transform into the cliffs of a mountain with a beautiful waterfall. The imagined sound of the cascading water will lull them softly to sleep.

It's bedtime now.

Time to snuggle into bed and let your eyes softly close.

Let's take three deep breaths together.

Ready?

Deep breaths in.

.

.

Deep breaths out.

.

.

Good.

Notice how warm and safe and comfortable you feel.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Allow your mind now to travel with the sound of my voice.

Beneath you,

Your bed has become cool and somewhat hard.

It is dark and the air is cool,

But you still feel safe and warm.

You start to wonder how this is possible,

And you notice that your body has become quite big.

You can feel large,

Powerful muscles beneath your skin.

You start to stand up and you find that your feet and hands have become strong talons.

Your skin is covered with the armor of large,

Heavy scales.

As you stretch,

You notice a strange sensation on your back.

You have wings and a long,

Thick tail.

Your eyes have become accustomed to the dark now,

And you notice that you have been resting in your home.

It's a cave.

You can feel the cool,

Soft dirt covering the floor,

And the hard,

Dark rock that make up your walls and ceiling.

You look out at the world beyond your cave,

And at first you can see only blue sky and a few clouds.

As you walk outside,

You can hear your talons clicking on the rock beneath you.

You come to a ledge and notice that your cave is high up on a mountain.

Far below you is a canopy of trees.

From where you stand,

They look like broccoli.

You feel the need to stretch a bit,

So you move your massive body to stretch your legs,

Your arms,

Your neck.

You stretch your wings and notice how large and beautiful they are.

You begin to flap them,

And before you know it,

They're lifting you off of the ground.

You look down and see your talons dangling below you.

The sweep of your wings is stirring up little dust clouds where you just stood.

Now you look ahead,

Feeling perfectly safe and very excited.

You instinctively know how to propel yourself forward.

You engage your whole body in the task.

You use your stomach muscles to hold your body in position.

You use your head,

Neck,

And tail to direct you in the air.

You feel an amazing sense of strength and confidence and freedom swelling in your heart.

As you fly,

You watch the landscape change.

First you see the trees.

Then you find yourself gazing upon a beautiful stream.

It is deep and blue.

Along each side of the stream,

Grass and wildflowers are growing.

As you follow the stream,

You start to notice that the water is flowing more rapidly.

It is churning and swirling.

You find that ahead of you,

The water seems to disappear and turn into sky.

You're aware of a loud roaring sound.

Curious,

You pick up speed,

Flying just above the surface of the water.

You are tickled by drops of water spraying up beneath you.

And there it is,

A huge waterfall.

It is beautiful white and blue water tumbling down the rock face,

Cascading into a deep pool below.

You notice that all of this excitement and flying has made you feel quite hot.

So you dive into the pool to cool off.

Almost immediately,

You bob to the surface.

All of that air in between your scales makes it very easy to float.

You rest on your back,

Looking up at the sky and the beautiful waterfall.

You find yourself getting sleepy and you make your way to the land.

You find a nice rock outcropping where you can lie in the sun and hear the constant roar of the waterfall.

You let your eyelids become heavy and gently close them.

Your breathing becomes deep and soft and effortless.

You are completely comfortable lying in the sun,

Gently breathing in the smell of the water and the earth.

The muscles in your body release and you feel fully supported by the ground beneath you.

You are completely relaxed and you let yourself drift off to sleep.

Good night,

Little dragon.

๐Ÿ’™Lovely voice and lots of detail. I love flying through the sky and feeling the wind against me. Only took me a few clues to find out it was an eagle and I was wrong ๐Ÿ˜ฎNever done this type of meditation before and Iโ€ฆโ€ฆLOVE it! Will definitely check out some more of these and I fell asleep before the end! (Which was intentional) Thank you๐Ÿ’™ Just listened to the whole meditation (because I fell asleep last time) and realised I was wrong about the eagle but it was a dragon! Thought I was right because everyone else was saying it was an eagle! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’™ โญ๏ธ๐ŸŒŸโœจ๐ŸŒŸโญ๏ธ
