Good morning beautiful human,

It's time to wake up and start your day.

But let's not rush it.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Feel your ribcage expand and stretch with each full breath.

Feel your belly rise and fall.

Notice the weight of your bedding atop your body.

Indulge in the delight of the support,

Warmth,

And comfort your bed brings.

Now listen to your body.

Move and stretch in any way that your body requests.

Good.

Let's start to wake up little by little,

Beginning with your toes.

Spread your toes out wide,

And give them a little wiggle.

Point the toes,

And then flex them.

Now draw circles with your ankles,

First away from one another,

And then reverse the circle towards one another.

Now with your feet flexed,

Allow them to fall side to side,

Like windshield wipers,

Creating a slight rotation from the hips.

Let's try bouncing your knees,

The backs of your knees ever so slightly patting the bed beneath you.

Great.

Squeeze your gluteus maximus,

Lifting your hips away from the bed,

A little tighter,

And release,

And again,

Release.

Release.

One more time.

Release.

Now pull your belly button down towards your spine,

Activating the core muscles ever so slightly.

Beautiful.

Let's turn our attention to your hands now.

Just as we did with the toes,

Spread your fingers wide.

Good.

Now wiggle them.

Bring the fingers in,

Making a tight fist,

And then stretch them wide again.

Do this two more times.

Circle your wrists first away from each other,

And then towards each other.

With your palms open and arms straight,

Rotate your hands face up,

Rotating from the shoulder.

Good.

Now palms face down.

Keep going and see how full you can make this rotation.

Unwind them back,

Palms face up,

Palms face down.

Do this a couple more times.

Good.

Now allow your head to roll from side to side as it rests on your pillow,

Releasing your neck.

Bring your arms above your head and stretch from the tips of your fingers all the way down to the tips of your toes.

Take a moment to assess how your body feels.

Feel free to move in any way that your body desires.

Begin to become present in the room around you.

Listen for the sounds filling the space.

Gently blink your eyes open and orient yourself.

Slowly bring yourself to a seated position.

Place your hands over your heart and set an intention for your day.

You've gotten off to a great start.

I appreciate your willingness to join me in this practice today,

And for taking the time to honor and nurture yourself.

It's going to be a great day.

Very gentle and soothing practice to start my day. I usually start with my workout and laying here as I wake up and just moving my body before jumping out of bed wonderful! I was able to reflect on a good night sleep, which does not happen often. So thank you so much for starting my day off in a tremendous way! Many blessings to you
