We all have baggage as people and professionals. Baggage from your previous stressed-out boss or difficult client or just from working too much. If you don't process it and let go of it, this baggage can creep up when you are interviewing for a job, enjoying your downtime, or just going about your day to day.  This meditation helps us let go of these accumulated experiences using bricks and earth as visuals.

Welcome to our pilot episode,

Finding Clarity.

Our lives today are high stress and hectic.

We're constantly taking on new adventures,

Whether it's starting a new project,

Joining a new team,

Readying to raise a round,

Or even just preparing yourself for a day of meetings.

We take on a lot,

And it's easy to power through and move on from one thing to the next.

Without fully processing our previous experiences.

It's what we call carrying baggage.

It might be resentment for a former boss,

An opportunity we regret declining,

Ideas passed on to us via our investors,

Or frustration for things moving a little too slowly.

All these can spill over,

Usually at the worst time,

Blocking us from bringing our full potential to the new day.

This meditation will help you let go of those stressors and see things with a clear perspective.

Let's start.

Take a deep,

Slow inhale,

And an even slower exhale.

Close your eyes.

Roll your shoulders down.

Relax your jaw.

Now,

Bring your attention to the center of your head,

Right behind your eyes and in between your ears.

You'll see it feels just a little quieter,

A little softer there.

Take your time finding that spot.

Settle there and come back to this spot if you come out.

Now,

Imagine you're walking on a forest trail.

Feel the forest energy.

Feel the humidity of the trees.

Feel your feet on the ground,

Connected to the earth.

And as you're walking gently and looking around,

You realize you have a backpack on your back.

You don't really remember having a backpack,

And you feel curious.

Why do you have a backpack?

What is in this backpack?

You open it and you see some bricks.

You take one of those bricks in your hand.

The brick feels heavy.

It has a rough texture,

And it's brown.

You don't remember this brick or putting this brick in your backpack.

What kind of energy comes up?

What kind of feeling does this brick bring up?

Maybe it has a message.

Whatever it is,

You accept it,

And if nothing comes up,

Just go with it too.

Now,

You decide that you don't need this brick.

Whatever the reason was in the first place,

It doesn't exist anymore,

And you can go about your life without this brick.

So,

You let go of the brick.

The brick falls onto the forest ground,

And as it touches the ground,

The brick melts into the earth.

It dissolves and turns into earth,

And just completely blends into the forest landscape.

Remember to stay in the center of your head.

As the brick dissolved into the earth and became earth,

You realize it released the energy that it had in there.

It released all the feelings,

Thoughts,

Or energy that you felt in that brick,

And it melted away into the earth,

All the way into the center of the earth,

Recycled and going somewhere else where it's needed.

You realize you no longer needed that energy or those feelings or thoughts you were carrying,

And now you're letting them go.

They're gone already.

You realize your backpack feels a little lighter.

You feel a little bit lighter.

So,

You decide to take another brick from the backpack,

And you do the same.

You look at it.

You feel it.

You really feel it.

You feel the weight.

You feel the texture.

You feel the color.

Then,

Let any images or feelings or thoughts come up,

And just go with them without experiencing them.

Look at them and decide you no longer need them,

And that you're going to let them go because you've had them already.

So,

You let the brick fall onto the forest ground,

And again,

It gently dissolves into the earth and transforms into earth and releases those thoughts,

Energies,

Or feelings into the center of the earth to be recycled and reused somewhere else.

You feel any tension you might have had melt into the earth.

You feel lighter,

Relieved.

You feel release.

Take your time and see if there's another brick that you want to let go of.

Go through the cycle again.

Look at the brick.

Take the message.

Let go of that energy you don't need anymore or energy that isn't yours.

See it dissolve and feel release.

Feel your mind and body becoming free.

Now,

You look at the backpack,

And it's empty,

Completely empty.

So,

You decide to take off your backpack.

The backpack falls gently onto the forest ground,

And the backpack dissolves.

It transforms into earth,

Releasing its energy into the center of the earth.

You feel so light.

You feel free.

You feel playful,

Maybe.

Maybe you feel like you're open,

Like literally your chest,

Your heart can open now,

And that all this weight has been lifted,

Now that all this baggage has been let go of.

Take a moment to really take in those feelings.

Map them in your brain,

In your heart,

In your body.

Where does it feel good?

Where do you feel it more?

Where does it feel right?

Label all these sensations and feelings so you can remember.

And with all these feelings in your body,

In your heart,

Your soul,

Your mind,

You start walking onto your path,

Onto your forest path,

And you look at this forest with a completely new sensation.

You see the sun's cold light shining through the trees.

You see birds you had not seen before,

And you feel more connected to the forest and more connected to yourself.

You keep walking,

And each step feels happy,

Light,

And playful.

Take a deep breath.

Open your eyes.
