Thank you for joining me for this break in our daily routine.
This is an opportunity to simply experience being and peacefulness in this very moment,
To be still,
To put our thoughts aside,
To put everything aside and simply focus on the present moment,
Right here,
Right now.
So close your eyes now and take in a nice,
Deep belly breath in through your nose,
Breathing in calm and peacefulness all the way down to your belly,
And breathing out any tension within any part of your body.
Very good.
Breathing in again,
Peace and relaxation.
Now when you exhale,
Exhale out of your mouth slowly yet deeply,
Expelling the air.
This will bring a very deep sense of relaxation to your entire body and release all tension.
So let's do that for five breaths and I'll do the first one with you.
Let's begin.
And continue.
Exhaling out all tension.
And last deep breath.
Peacefulness and relaxation.
Wonderful.
Now just notice this moment right here where you are.
Simply notice how you've arranged your body.
Notice the feeling in your shoulders.
Allow any tension to be released from there.
Allow yourself to be unguarded to open up fully to this experience.
Notice your jaw.
Allow any tension to be released from there as well and anywhere else in your body,
Just letting it go.
Allow your body to sink down further into the chair or bed or wherever you are.
Allow the space beneath you to rise up and meet your body to hold you,
To support you.
And notice how the more that you let go,
The more you're supported.
Imagine the strong earth beneath your feet.
It's always there to support you no matter what's going on in your life.
You're safe here and all is well.
With your physical body feeling calm and relaxed,
Imagine for a moment a huge white screen in front of your closed eyes.
You can see all your thoughts,
Ideas,
Responsibilities,
All the busyness of the day swirling on that screen in front of you.
You see what stresses you and any anxiety that those things produce during a day.
There it all is swirling in front of you on that screen.
But you are safe.
In your comfortable vantage point,
You see that all this busyness and the thoughts and emotions and whatever else,
That is not you.
You are here.
Now in this present quiet and stillness.
Notice how you can sit perfectly outside of all that goes on.
And know you are well grounded and supported even in the presence of all that's going on in your life.
You are the observer in this moment.
Feeling that all the thoughts that you think,
Any anxiety that comes up,
All the challenges,
These are not the reality of who you are.
You reside outside of those things,
Outside of the thoughts,
The worries,
The busyness.
And so,
You come here to this place of inner quiet and calm,
Where you can observe,
But be separate from all that is going on in your daily life.
You come here to find your peace within,
To reconnect with yourself,
The essence of who you truly are.
And you have this connection at all times.
This feeling of peacefulness and calm you carry over into your daily life more and more each day.
And so,
You begin to see yourself as being separate from your thoughts.
You are able to separate that which is the real you,
Your source of power,
Of knowledge,
Of true peace,
Your true self.
That connection can never be severed because that is the reality of who you are.
You can separate that from all of the busyness and everything that goes on in your life,
Realizing that those things are not who you are.
You are able to recognize that you are not your history or your experiences or your thoughts.
You are beyond them and bigger and deeper and wiser.
And there is great peace here.
You have access to this inner connection to your own beingness and calm at all times.
It is who you are.
Waiting for you beyond your thoughts.
Taking in a deep breath always reminds you of your inner connectivity and your true self.
This still quiet space is yours at all times and is within you.
So when you are ready now,
Give your body a big stretch.
You have done wonderfully today.
Beautiful practice.
Now as you have recharged your mind and body,
You will find that you will be able to easily focus on the task at hand on being productive and feeling amazing throughout the remainder of the day.
