To let go of an emotion, you first must let it be. When you sit with the fire (emotion), with your loving presence, it burns out on its own. When you push it down away, it smolders inside, smoke is always rising up (negative thoughts), and pain can be created. Allow yourself to be with what is, without pushing it away, and feel the deep peace behind it all.

The first step of letting go is letting it be.

Emotions fully felt naturally dissipate on their own when there is nothing pushing them down or holding on.

Then,

With a slow inhale through the nose,

And exhale.

Deep inhale down into the belly,

And exhale.

Simply being with your heart,

However it fills,

Be with your heart,

Give your love to your heart Now notice a place on your body that has pain,

Or discomfort,

Or a tightness,

A stuckness,

A tension,

Scanning your body,

Or it might be immediately known Go to this part of your body,

Be with this discomfort,

This is the tip of the iceberg,

Emotions that are stuck,

Needing release can create physical body symptoms Be with this pain,

Be with this discomfort,

Simply be with it,

You are safe What is this telling you?

What is this physical sensation?

I have to tell you,

Ask this part of your body to share with you what needs to be felt,

What is beneath the surface,

Beneath the skin The energy might be an emotion of frustration,

Disappointment,

Sadness,

Grief,

Apathy,

Depression,

Pride,

Anger,

Resentment,

Fear,

Worry,

Guilt,

Shame Just notice what this primary feeling is,

Bring it forth,

Bring it up,

Allow yourself to feel the feeling that has been pushed back or safe Letting it be is the first step of letting it go,

By letting it be,

Without resistance,

This energy naturally dissipates and dissolves with your presence Stay with it,

Fully feel this emotion,

You are the conscious observer,

You are the ocean,

But be with the wave fully A part of you will want to push it away,

A part of you will want to think and analyze This is about feeling,

The release is in the feeling,

If you need to give your mind something to do,

To create one pointed consciousness so that you can fully feel the mantras Let it be,

Let it be,

Let it be,

And I am fine,

I am fine,

I am fine,

Use these if they feel good for you as you stay in the feeling Yes,

You are doing it,

Be with the feeling,

Be with the feeling,

Don't worry about the thoughts,

You may have many thoughts coming up,

Negative thoughts,

Supporting and surrounding this feeling,

Reinforcing or leading you to pushing it away Thoughts are like smoke from the fire,

With your presence,

The fire begins to burn out,

The fire is burning,

You feel the heat,

But it dissipates over time With your loving presence,

You are no longer adding fuel to the fire by hiding it,

Pushing it away,

The thoughts are just smoke,

Thoughts can't hurt you,

Just because you think something doesn't make it true,

As the fire dissipates and goes away So too does the stuck energy and the thoughts that were stemming from this repressed emotion Be with the fire,

Stay with it,

Let the waves pass through you and run their natural course Now we're going to do a few breaths,

Really being with this feeling,

Flushing it through you,

This will be a six count inhale,

And then holding the breath,

Feeling the feeling In 2,

Hold,

Hold the breath,

Feel the feeling,

You are safe,

Let it be,

And exhale Again,

Six count inhale,

Hold,

Hold the breath,

You are strong,

Feel this feeling,

Amplify it,

Let it run through you and pass through you And exhale,

One more powerful presence,

Breath,

Feel this energy in motion,

It's just an energy in motion,

Feel it,

Let it pass,

Let it pass And exhale,

This is a continuous practice,

Being with the fire,

Your presence,

Your loving non-resistance allows for this fire to burn out,

To dissipate,

To dissolve Come back and do this practice as needed,

To fully fill and let it pass,

Dissolve,

You are safe,

You are loved
