Circles of Gratitude.
I am Michelle and hope you think of my voice as your dear friend,
Here with you in these first quiet moments of the day.
Settle in a comfortable position.
Seated or lying down.
And let your eyelids land softly on your eyes.
Drawing inwards.
Take one slow,
Full breath in.
And as you exhale.
Let your body soften into wherever you are right now.
Feel the ground beneath you.
The air around you.
Temperature of the room.
Notice that you are safe.
Your health.
And the space.
The sanctuary to start your day.
Before anything influences your intention.
Your state of mind is yours to embrace.
And in this morning haven.
Feel the sense of protection as your awareness drifts to the world just outside your walls.
The morning light beginning to spread and expand in vibrant bands.
The sounds finding their way in.
There is a whole fresh world out there.
And it is waiting gently for you.
Without pressure.
This is the outermost circle you envision.
Stretching out infinitely beyond.
And you may consider all the things you enjoy in this world.
As a new morning comes to life.
And now bring yourself back into your space,
Feeling its continuous support.
Helping you.
Prepare for that outer circle beyond.
Feel appreciation.
Or how this space holds you.
And gives you this moment.
To align yourself with gratitude.
Feel that appreciation surrounding you.
Now guide your attention.
To your innermost circle.
As you focus on your heart center,
Take a breath and feel it soften and open.
Just a little.
Today you embark on a gratitude scavenger hunt throughout your day.
You're going to find the hidden,
Ordinary moments.
That are actually quite extraordinary.
Now take a D.
Luminous breath in.
And as you breathe out.
Imagine that breath enlivening.
The bubble shield of gratitude.
That surrounds you.
It's not a wall that closes you off.
But rather a living,
Glowing shield.
Woven entirely from thankfulness.
It moves with you.
It keeps you flexible.
Open.
Grounded.
And when the noise of the day arrives.
As it always tends to do.
It bounces off your shield of gratitude.
You stay rooted in what feels good.
You stay open to what is possible.
All at once.
Feel these circles of gratitude.
Awakening world beyond your walls.
The sanctuary of your room.
And your beautiful,
Nurturing inner world.
Take one more deep breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
Flutter open your eyes.
Your gratitude scavenger hunt begins now.
