What do you want to leave behind when all is said and done?
I've been thinking a lot about this in recent months So today we're going to explore our lives Explore what we're creating,
The seeds we're planting And what we'd like to leave behind when all is said and done Finding a comfortable position Feeling rooted,
Grounded and supported In your mind's eye Visualise,
Bring to life Yourself walking barefoot Across the grass in a beautiful garden It's a warm afternoon,
Late summer You can feel the warmth on your skin and it's so comfortable Not too hot nor too cool You hear the faint sound of birds singing to each other in the trees And you hear the sound of a gentle breeze rustling in the leaves You are barefoot,
The grass is warm and soft There's a beautiful,
Gentle,
Subtle fragrance in the air With late summer flowers in bloom You sit at the foot of a big,
Beautiful tree to rest Your back against the solid trunk of the tree Bottom and legs on the grass The grass is so soft and comfortable As you lean against the broad trunk of the tree you feel supported and grounded You look up at the leaves and branches Golden light gently coming through Your little slice of the divine bathing you in a soft,
Warm glow You feel comfortable,
Grounded,
Supported and relaxed And you start to think about the tree and your life You start to think about your life as a tree With a trunk,
Roots,
Branches and leaves When you sit under the tree of your life and examine the leaves,
Branches and leaves And the trunk,
What will you see?
How will you feel?
What is your legacy?
What are the seeds that you're planting now that you may or may not see grow?
What patterns are you weaving?
What actions can you take in this next season of your life to support the tree of your life to grow into one you are proud of when all is said and done?
When you are ready to rest and survey your life's work,
What do you want to see?
And how do you want people to say you made them feel?
We're not talking about accolades,
Wealth,
Rank or title We're not talking about possessions We're talking about who you really are What you're really here to do And what you'd really like to leave behind So what is it?
Allowing the visualisation to fade Coming back to the space around you,
To the weight of your body against the surface you're resting on in the here and now Any sounds,
Smells,
The temperature in the air It's food for thought and it's worth coming back to because our time on earth is brief And it's lovely to think that we can plant seeds,
It's lovely to think that we can move and act in a way That's for the glory,
For the betterment and we'll leave a positive impact on the world And it's lovely to think that we can move and act in a way That's for the glory,
For the betterment and we'll leave a positive legacy And that can be in very small,
Subtle ways,
It doesn't need to be anything grand But definitely worth thinking about And thank you so much for practicing with me today
