Hey friend,
Thanks for being here.
Go ahead and make your way into a comfortable seated or lying down position,
Doing your best to set yourself up for relaxation,
Whatever that looks like for you today.
Take your time getting there,
Allowing yourself to softly transition from the rest of your day into this time for yourself.
As you begin to settle in here,
Just start to notice how you feel.
Right here,
Right now,
No filters,
No judgment,
No desire to change anything,
Just notice.
Come as you are.
Whatever you are bringing with you into your practice today,
It's all good.
There's space for it here.
Maybe you close your eyes,
Maybe you deepen your breath,
Arriving fully into this moment.
Soften through the muscles of your face and jaw,
Allow your shoulders to melt away from your ears,
Grow heavy through the hips,
The legs,
Allow the fingers and toes to relax,
And your sweet belly,
Let it be soft,
Really easing into a state of surrender in the body.
Just know that you are supported here,
You are physically held by the earth,
For the next few minutes,
There's nothing you need to do,
Nothing to remember,
Nothing to accomplish.
In this moment,
You have everything you need.
Everything is as it should be.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
As thoughts or sensations begin to enter your awareness,
Just notice them.
Don't try to erase them or silence them.
Just acknowledge the thought,
The sensation,
And let it pass you by.
Relaxing back into your breath,
Back into this practice of noticing.
Just do your best.
Just keep observing.
Just keep showing up to this moment,
And this moment,
And this moment.
And as you practice this noticing,
If you feel frustrated,
Notice your frustration.
If your space is loud,
Notice the sounds around you.
If your leg is falling asleep,
Notice that sensation.
If you feel like this meditation is a waste of time,
Notice that thought.
Just keep showing up,
Breath after breath,
Exactly as you are,
Sweetly coaxing your awareness back to presence,
No matter what is happening inside of you or around you.
You are a blue sky.
Everything else is just clouds passing through.
You are calm.
You are still.
You are at peace,
Exactly as you are.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Just being with yourself.
Start to deepen your breath,
Bringing some gentle movements into your fingers and toes.
No matter what thoughts,
Feelings,
Or sensations are present during your practice,
Just know that you can move through uncomfortable things without allowing them to define your entire experience.
Part of this practice is showing up regardless of how we're feeling.
It's about fully being with ourselves and working to accept ourselves through all phases of our lives.
Through the good,
The bad,
The ugly,
The magical.
Whether we're distracted or stressed or sad or inspired,
That's all just weather passing through your sky.
And underneath it all is you.
And that's why we're here.
To be with that you.
To see glimpses of that blue sky in between the clouds.
Bring your hands to your heart.
Taking one final moment to notice how you feel and to thank yourself for showing up.
Let's take one final deep breath in together.

Let it go.
