Be still.

Slowing thoughts and entering the body.

Come into the here and now.

Coming down from the head and into the heart.

Feeling where the body connects with the surface beneath you.

Release and let go into those anchors.

Noticing where your clothes meet your skin.

The air on your skin.

Now shift your attention to the palms of your hands.

Feel the vibration.

The aliveness in your hands.

The entirety of both hands.

Both thumbs.

First fingers.

Second fingers.

Third fingers.

Fourth fingers.

Wrists.

Forearms.

Upper arms.

Shoulders.

The whole chest.

Belly.

Relaxing the hips.

Upper legs.

Lower legs.

The ankles.

Top of the feet.

Soles of the feet.

The heels.

The whole front side of the body.

The whole front side of the body lets go.

Open and soft.

Back of both legs.

The glutes.

Lower back.

The whole spine.

Shoulder blades.

Back of the neck.

Back of the head.

Top of the head.

Relaxing and letting go of the whole face.

Inside of the mouth.

The whole tongue.

The jaw releases its holding.

The whole head is heavy.

Awareness of the full body.

The entire body releases.

Now let something go.

Awareness of your in-breath.

Awareness of your out-breath.

Now what is your intention for the rest of this day?

In this moment,

What do you intend to carry with you into the next moment?

As someone with chronic pain, body scans are usually a no-go for me. However, I felt safe and relaxed with this one. No one area was focused on for too long, and the narration helped me loosen up and relax. The final question about what I’ll be carrying into the next moment really struck me. Thank you for this wonderful guided meditation.
