Hello lovely people,
It's Nisha from Joyful Living.
I hope you're well today.
So today's Yoga Nidra guided meditation is around the changing world that we live in and suffering from eco-anxiety with what's going on with climate change.
Like many of you,
I sometimes feel helpless about what's going on in the world.
So how can we find our purpose,
Peace,
And also bringing about a positive action that we can do so that we know that we are doing our part to help save our wonderful planet and our home.
So just get comfortable,
Whatever how you want to sit,
Lying down,
Sitting in a seat or on a chair,
Sitting on the floor,
Just get comfortable for you.
If you're lying down,
Perhaps have a blanket over you.
And if you're ready,
Perhaps gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
And take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale softly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in calm.
And exhale,
Breathing out tension.
One final deep breath.
And allowing yourself to arrive fully.
In this moment.
There is nowhere you need to go.
Know where you need to be.
Simply allowing yourself to rest.
And surrender.
Into this moment.
So this practice is for those who feel concern.
Grief.
Uncertainty.
Overwhelm.
About the future of our beautiful planet,
Our planet Earth.
Our home.
Equal anxiety.
Becoming increasingly common.
It's a sign that you dare,
You care deeply about the earth.
About future generations.
And about the incredible web of life that supports us all.
During this practice,
This yoga nidra.
We are not trying to ignore those feelings.
We acknowledge them with compassion.
We create space for hope.
We reconnect with our resilience.
And we remember that meaningful change.
Begins with grounded,
Compassionate action.
So bring to mind your Sankalpa.
Your heartfelt intention.
It could be.
I create change.
I'm courageous.
I help our planet for the better.
Something that resonates with you.
And then repeat it.
In your mind.
Three times.
With complete feeling.
And to when.
Rotation of consciousness.
I'm going to name body parts as I do bring awareness to each part.
Starting on the right side.
Right hand thumb.
Vast finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Palm of the hand.
Back of the hand.
Forearm.
Elbow.
The top palm.
Right shoulder.
Right here.
Right bye ankle.
Top of the foot.
Sole of the foot.
Right big toe,
Second time.
Cool.
The whole right side.
Of your body.
The whole right side of your body.
Bring your awareness to the whole right side.
Now bring awareness to the left side of the body.
Left hand thumb.
First finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Palm of the hand.
Back of the hand.
Forearm.
Elbow.
Top palm.
Left shoulder.
Love.
Ciao.
Bye.
Knee.
Ankle.
Top of the foot.
So do the fence.
Left big toe.
Second time.
The whole.
Left side.
Of your body.
Is relax.
Bringing awareness to the whole left side.
Into the whole body.
Awareness to the whole body.
And bring your awareness now to your natural breath.
There is nothing to change.
Simply observe.
Each inhalation and exhalation.
Imagine the air flowing into your lungs has travelled through forests.
Across oceans.
Over mountains.
Through fields of wildflowers.
The same air has been shared by trees,
Birds.
Wales and people across the world.
You're not separate from nature.
You are part of nature.
With every breath.
For yourself.
Reconnecting.
With our beautiful planet.
With uh if feelings about climate change rise up.
Perhaps sadness.
Fee.
Frustration.
Uncertainty.
Simply notice them.
Without trying to push them away.
Without becoming overwhelmed.
Imagine placing these emotions Gently.
Into the palms of your hands.
Holding them with kindness.
They are not signs of weakness.
They are signs of love.
Love 4 Rivers.
Love for Forrest.
Love for wildlife.
Love for all children.
Love for future generations.
Love for our beautiful planet.
That has given us life.
And allow your heart to soften.
Imagine yourself walking slowly through an ancient woodland.
The air is fresh.
Birdsong fills the space around you.
The scent of moss and pine surrounds you.
Ahead stands a magnificent old tree.
Its roots stretch deep into the earth.
It's branches.
Reach towards the sky.
This tree has witnessed storms,
Changing seasons.
Heat.
Call.
Rain.
Yet it continues to grow.
Walk towards the tree.
Place both hands upon its trunk.
Feel its quiet strength.
It's steady wisdom.
You do not need to carry the whole forest.
Simply continue growing.
Together,
We are stronger.
Imagine tiny seeds resting gently in your hands.
Each seed represents one action you can take.
Walking instead of driving,
Reducing weight.
Supporting local businesses.
Creating gardens where trees and wildlife flourish.
Joining local conservation projects.
Taking part in community clean-up days.
Teaching children to love and respect nature.
Supporting charities.
And organisations protecting our environment.
Writing to your government.
Becoming part of your government.
To make long-lasting changes.
Voting for a future you believe in.
Taking part in demonstrations.
Using your voice for positive change.
Notice that every action is a seed.
No single seed creates a forest.
But millions of seeds planted with care transform landscapes.
Imagine planting your own seed into rich soil.
Watch it begin to grow.
Now see thousands of others planting theirs.
Some educate.
Some innovate.
Some restore forests.
Some protect ocean.
Thumbs create cleaner technology.
Some volunteer.
Some influence policy.
Feel your anxiety beginning to transform into purpose,
Into resilience.
Into heart.
You can do something.
I choose hope.
Now imagine the earth holding you.
Just as long as you care for the Earth.
The Earth supports you.
Feel the ground beneath your body.
And allow yourself to rest completely.
Coming back to your intention you set at the beginning of your practice.
You'll think helper.
Repeat it in your mind three times.
And knowing when we care for ourselves.
We are better able to care for others.
When you're ready.
Gently work your fingertips and your toes.
Coming back to your surroundings.
Either awakening the body or drift off into a sleep.
Hari Om Tat Sat Hari Om Tat Sat Thank you for joining me.
See you next time.
And feel free to follow me.
