Transcript

Begin in a soft seated or laying position.

Closing your eyes,

Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Take another deep breath in and exhale through the mouth fully letting go.

Take a moment to arrive,

Feel the surface beneath you fully supported by your body.

Let your breath become soft and natural,

Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly,

Making the exhalation slower and longer than the inhalation.

As you breathe gently bring your awareness inwards,

Begin to connect with your physical body,

Feel into it any aches,

Pains,

Discomforts or regrets without judgment,

Only love and curiosity.

Now softly repeat after me or in your head,

My body is a temple,

I honour and care for it with love and respect.

My body is a temple,

Feel the truth of these words echo through you,

Notice any sensations that arise.

I feel safe within my body,

The body is my home,

Strong,

Wise and worthy of peace.

Repeat,

I feel safe within my body,

The body is my home,

Strong,

Wise and worthy of peace.

Take a deep breath in and with every inhalation imagine drawing in the calmness of the words you have spoken and with the exhalation release any tension and discomfort.

Repeating,

My body is a temple,

I feel safe within my body.

My body is a temple,

I feel safe within my body.

Breathe into these affirmations,

Let them sink deeper with each repetition,

Imagine your body being bathed in a warm healing light as you say these words.

If your mind wanders gently bring it back to the breath,

Back to the words,

My body is a temple,

I feel safe within my body.

Stay with this for a few more breaths,

Breathing in the healing light,

Breathing out any tension.

Let this feeling of safety grow.

When you are ready begin to bring small movement to your fingers and toes,

Gently returning to the space around you,

Take a final deep breath in and exhale with gratitude,

Opening your eyes and carrying the sense of peace and safety with you for the rest of the day.
