The best advice for a regular meditation practice.
Meditation is neither easy nor difficult.
Meditation is simple.
Because sitting in silence is simple to understand and to execute and,
From a meditation perspective,
Nothing else happens from here,
From there.
The biggest challenge of meditation is not starting the practice or bringing awareness to the present moment.
Much more challenging is maintaining consistency in meditation practice and remaining aware in the present moment.
We move by expanding ourselves,
By learning and by knowledge,
By curiosity and exploring the world.
We move by feelings and,
On the increasing scales of emotions,
Although we are often mentally trapped by drama and fear,
We are deeply attracted to love and peace,
Inwardly much more touched by gratitude.
So simply put,
Affection is commitment.
Yes,
The best advice for a regular meditation practice is to find and to develop a group or a teacher for whom you feel affection and trust and nurture friendship and affection more than the meditation techniques or philosophies or currents that are taught,
More than the curriculum or identification with the group members.
At times when the mind wants to sabotage the practice of meditation,
The warmth that resides in the heart will be the commitment that guarantees you to say yes to another session together.
The smile of another meeting with the group and the teacher will be the factor that sustains you regularity in practice.
Meditation that is cultivated in being,
Feeling,
Sharing,
Will be decisive in overcoming any resistance or narrative or excuse.
So we could say in meditation that puts the mind so much in perspective,
It is worth to conclude that the heart is the one that rules and commands.
Thank you very much my dear friend,
Please leave a word or a small sentence in the comments to share the echo of this reflection in yourself.
Just a word,
It's very important.
Thank you very much,
See you in the next Daily Pneuma,
Big hug in your hearts.
