Designed to help you heal your abandonment wounds.
I'm Juana and it's truly an honor to guide you on this journey.
Thank you for showing up,
Not only for yourself,
But for others as well.
For when you heal,
Those around you are also positively impacted,
As your growth ripples out and touches others.
Before we begin,
I invite you to make sure you're in a safe,
Comfortable space.
This meditation will bring up some emotions,
And you'll want to be somewhere you can allow these feelings to surface and flow freely,
Without any distractions or worries of expression.
You may wish to lay down or sit upright,
Both are fine,
So long as your spine is straight and you are alert.
Ok,
Once you've found your sweet spot,
Close your eyes gently,
And bring your awareness to the sensations in your body.
Feel the weight of your body against the surface you're resting on.
Ensure it feels grounded,
Supported,
And at ease.
With each inhale,
Draw in peace,
Calm,
And clarity.
With each exhale,
Release any tension,
Anxiety,
Or distractions that may be present.
If thoughts arise,
Which is natural,
Simply observe them without judgment,
And then gently shift your focus back to your breath.
Continue breathing slowly and deeply,
Your body relaxing further with each passing breath.
Inhale calm,
Exhale any stress or worry.
As you continue to breathe nice and calmly,
Imagine a gentle wave of relaxation moving through your body,
Starting at the very top of your head,
And slowly flowing down through your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
And arms,
All the way down to your feet.
With each wave,
Feel your body becoming more at ease,
More present in the here and now.
Allow yourself to be fully immersed in this peaceful,
Present moment.
Rest here for a few more delicious breaths.
I'd like you to now bring your focus to your heart.
Visualize a soft,
Warm light beginning to glow there.
A small,
Delicate flame.
This light represents your love,
Compassion,
And vulnerability.
With every inhale,
See this light growing brighter,
Expanding within your chest,
Filling your heart with warmth and openness.
With every exhale,
Feel any tightness or barriers in your heart softening and melting away.
Inhale,
This light grows brighter and bigger,
As it expands,
See the light gently opening the doors of your heart,
Inviting you to look inward.
From this open and receptive heart,
Envision yourself stepping into the past,
Revisiting moments that still carry weight in your soul.
Moments where you felt alone,
Neglected,
Or unseen.
See yourself hovering above these memories,
Observing them from a bird's eye view,
With compassion and understanding.
Now seeing the bigger picture.
What did these painful experiences teach you about yourself?
What did they teach you about others?
Did they teach you that it wasn't safe to love?
That putting yourself out there is risky?
That you could get hurt again,
So better protect yourself?
Build a wall up in your heart and not let many people through?
Or did they teach you that you aren't good enough?
Not worthy to be seen,
To be heard,
To be loved?
Listen with your open,
Receptive heart.
What did the pain of abandonment,
Of rejection,
Of failure do to you?
Envision that within your heart,
There is a container,
Like a basket or a delicate box,
Waiting to collect all the unresolved emotions from these experiences.
The pain of abandonment,
The hurt of not being accepted,
And all the feelings you never allowed yourself to fully express or even feel.
Pause with each memory that wishes to surface.
As you do,
Allow this container to gather those emotions.
The unspoken pain,
The lingering hurt,
All the tears shed.
Take your time with this.
There's no need to rush.
Allow whatever may arise and feel it fully before delicately placing it in your container.
If something feels too heavy to deal with at the moment,
That's okay too.
You can save it for another time.
Have the utmost compassion for yourself as you go through this.
It's okay to feel.
It's okay to cry.
It's okay to be with what is.
Only when you feel one needs to be felt can it move on.
This is a safe healing space.
Breathe deeply through all of it.
What you resist persists.
What you fully feel can pass.
Your subconscious mind held onto these feelings in an attempt to protect you in its own way.
There was deep purpose in these emotions.
They were part of a defense,
An attempt to keep you safe in those situations.
But now you are ready to release them.
You are ready to trust yourself and trust others.
And in doing so,
Allow all the love you desire to flow freely in your life.
As you lovingly gather all these unresolved feelings,
Pain,
Rejection,
Abandonment,
Imagine stepping into a tranquil,
Nurturing space in nature.
In front of you,
Picture a vast,
Open sky stretching above you in endless blue.
Below,
You see a deep,
Calm lake.
It's surface still and mirror-like.
This lake reflects the sunlight,
Shimmering with a soft glow.
There is a peacefulness here,
A stillness that invites healing.
Around you,
Soft light begins to form.
A warm,
Golden light moving in gentle waves,
Swirling all over you.
It touches the earth beneath your feet,
Flows through your hands,
And surrounds your heart with a deep sense of safety.
Take a moment to connect to the profound serenity of this awe-inspiring space.
In your hands,
You still hold the container that has amassed all the unresolved emotions.
The pain,
The hurt,
The fears,
The lost hope.
It is no longer yours to keep.
So gracefully open it up and pour its dark contents into the lake.
Watch as the emotions spill out everywhere,
Blackness swirling in the water,
Dissolving,
Absorbed by the immensity of the lake.
Feel the release,
The weight lifting from your heart.
The lake is purifying these feelings,
Cleansing them,
Transforming them into something beautiful.
Something you can grow from.
So don't hold anything back,
Let it all go.
This boundless lake can transmute it all for you.
As the water absorbs your emotions,
Feel a sense of relief wash over you.
When all of the unresolved energy has been released,
Notice how the water's surface gradually returns to stillness,
Calm and clear once again.
All the darkness is gone.
Only stillness and peace remains.
Bask in this tranquility for a few deep breaths.
Thank yourself deeply for letting it all go.
Wandering away from the lake,
You peer off into the distance,
And there you see an image of yourself.
The version of you who once held on to all these tough emotions,
Trying its best to protect you from the fear of abandonment.
As you walk closer,
You feel an overwhelming sense of empathy.
You understand the fear,
The need to protect.
You are now ready to offer compassion to this version of yourself.
Carefully approach them and give them what they need.
Whether it's an embrace or a soft,
Loving gesture,
Offer them comfort and understanding.
Is there anything you'd like to say to them?
This is your chance to do so.
You are complete.
As you hold this version of yourself,
You merge into one being.
The past and present unite.
You are whole.
This is your higher self,
The wiser and more compassionate version of you.
You are ready to trust and to move forward with a heart open to receiving and giving love freely.
And as you confidently stand in this new,
United version of yourself,
A soft voice whispers in your mind,
Love is safe.
I can trust.
Love is safe.
I can trust.
Silently affirm to yourself,
Love is safe.
I can trust now.
Embody it deep in your bones.
Boldly declare,
Love is safe.
I can trust now.
Love is safe.
I can trust now.
Experience the light and wisdom that now fills your being,
Where pain once lived.
You've arrived home.
This journey is complete.
You are safe,
And you are whole.
Remember,
This safety,
This peace,
Has always been your birthright.
And if you lose your way again,
Which happens on this glorious journey of life,
You can always come back home.
It's time to return,
So picture a golden light washing over you,
Wrapping you in warmth and protection.
As you prepare to re-enter the present,
You will leave behind the old pain,
And take with you this newfound sense of safety,
Love,
And wholeness.
Silently affirm after me,
I am safe.
I am love.
I am whole.
With conviction,
I am safe.
I am love.
I am whole.
And so it is.
Whenever you're ready,
Connect to the ground below you,
Anchoring you to the here and now.
Wiggle your fingers,
Then your toes,
And flutter open your eyes.
