Take a lovely deep breath in and a long slow breath out and the next time you breathe in look up towards your forehead and as you breathe out gently close down your eyes.
See feel or imagine yourself gently tuning in to your digestive system,
Your gut.
Tuning in down the throat,
Past the stomach,
Through the small intestines and settling in the large intestine,
The lower gut.
You settle here where your friendly gut bacteria live and there are trillions of them working quietly,
Intelligently,
In partnership with you and you might picture them now,
Small,
Colourful,
Microbes,
Gently working and you may even sense them smiling back at you.
Begin to send loving energy in their direction a warming thank you,
Letting them know that you're here for them,
That you want to work together and as you offer them your love,
Your attention,
Your beneficial bacteria flourish.
They help you break down your food,
Create the neurotransmitters that your body needs and even soothe any unnecessary inflammation,
Supporting your mood and keeping the lining of your gut healthy.
This is a loving relationship,
You care for them and they care for you so let yourself feel that now,
That mutual support and care.
And in a moment I'm going to count from one to three and when I say three you'll open your eyes feeling relaxed,
Alert and proud of yourself.
