Find somewhere cozy or comfortable to settle.

It could be seated or lying down.

Take a deep breath in and as you breathe out soften your gaze.

Look up towards your forehead and while continuing to look up gently close down your eyes.

Take a deep breath in feeling your body expand and as you breathe out feel your body release.

And again breathe in expand and a long slow breath out to release.

Soften your eyes letting the muscles around your eyes relax so deeply.

Your eyelids might feel heavy going deeper into your mind.

Soften your jaw,

Soften your shoulders.

This is your time,

Time to reflect and dream.

No need to impress or get stuff done.

You may be someone who pictures or visualizes things or maybe you just feel or sense things or perhaps you have a sense of knowing instead.

There's no wrong way to do it.

Just let happen what will happen whatever comes naturally.

Welcoming in deep relaxation.

Picture your body as if it were made of ice.

Picture warm water being gently poured all over you starting from the crown of your head over each muscle until it reaches the tips of your toes.

As the ice melts and the warmth spreads feel your body release.

Find yourself at the top of a path in a peaceful forest.

The Sun is starting to rise beginning to illuminate the lush green of the trees and at the end of the path you notice a clearing ahead of you.

In the middle of the clearing is a gentle waterfall flowing into a pool of shimmering water.

In a minute you're going to walk down this path and with each step you take you might notice becoming more reflective and thoughtful.

Connecting deeply with your body,

Your heart and your most authentic self.

Five,

Take that first step down the path.

Four,

Go deeper into your mind.

Three,

Feel expansive energy emanating from your heart space.

Two,

Feeling completely relaxed.

One,

You've arrived.

Standing in the clearing feel the soft earth beneath your feet.

Hear the gentle rustle of the leaves beside you.

Feel the warmth of the new Sun on your skin.

Allow the sights and sounds of nature to ease your mind and deepen your relaxation.

Notice what you can see,

Hear,

Feel and smell.

Standing near the waterfall you can feel the warm reflective and meditative energy coming off it,

Calling you to reflect on the year that was.

You might notice feelings come up.

What didn't go as you had hoped?

Was it how you spent your time?

Missed opportunities?

Where you wish you'd stepped out of your comfort zone more?

Or where you'd perhaps pushed too hard?

What emotions come up?

It might be sadness,

Disappointment,

Frustration.

Welcome that part of yourself forward,

Allowing the emotions to be here.

Ask this part of you what this experience or these emotions are here to teach you.

What does this part want for you?

Often is things like safety,

Protection from negative emotions,

Love,

Belonging.

What is its intention for you?

What does this part need from you?

For example it might need rest,

Reassurance,

Unconditional love to feel heard,

Setting a boundary or another action.

If you can take a moment to give this part of you what it needs now.

Thank this emotion,

This part of you for supporting you to reflect on the year that was,

For helping you to grow.

If you feel ready it's time to release this emotion knowing that you can come back to it at any time.

Step under the waterfall allowing the gentle warm water to wash any emotions away.

As you do this you might notice your body relax more deeply,

Maybe your mind feels more free.

Stepping into the shimmering pool and allowing yourself to float,

Reflect on what went well over the past year.

What are you proud of?

Notice where you feel this in the body,

Sinking into that feeling.

What word or characteristic comes to mind?

It could be resilient,

Fun,

Caring deeply,

Loving deeply,

Passionate,

Strong.

Take a moment to offer appreciation for yourself for creating this experience.

Even if it's hard to connect with an experience of something you're proud of,

See if you can take an open or compassionate stance towards yourself regardless.

Looking at the last 12 months as a whole,

Sense the energy of the year.

What words come to mind?

It might be growth,

Action,

Stepping through fear,

Confidence,

Strength,

Resilience,

Hustle and bustle,

Forcing,

Treading water,

Too much,

Burnt out,

Sickness,

Scarcity.

It might be creativity,

Flow,

Stillness,

Joy,

Love,

Authenticity,

Play,

Helping,

Caring,

Feeling,

Healing,

Ups and downs,

Too much,

Stuck,

Frozen,

Insecure,

Hiding.

What three words resonate for you?

Is there a theme from the year that was?

Was there balance?

Perhaps there was more yin or more yang,

More masculine or more feminine energy?

Did it feel aligned with how you wanted the year to go or how you wanted to show up?

There's no right or wrong answer.

See if you can hold a curious and compassionate energy towards yourself.

Looking forward into the next year,

What would you like more of?

What energy would you like to carry through or cultivate?

You might like to choose one to three words that feel aligned.

How would you like to create this reality?

What thoughts or actions would you like to cultivate?

Remember that you are right where you're meant to be.

You begin to descend down into the pool deeper and deeper until there is no longer any light.

Floating in the darkness,

You can see a figure in front of you surrounded in light.

This person is you,

Your future,

Most authentic self.

Notice the energy with which they carry themselves.

They want to show you the life you lead in future.

It might be a year from now,

Five years or even ten years from now.

Let them show you how life looks.

As well as the beautiful qualities of your integrated self,

You also notice the beautiful qualities of the life you have made for yourself.

Where you live,

What your home looks like,

Who you're with and how you spend your time.

Your future self has a message for you about the year ahead.

They might hand you a piece of paper,

A piece of paper.

You might hear it or you might just have a sense of knowing.

Ask your future self what message it has for you.

Finding yourself back in the deep water,

You see a ball of light forming between you and your future self.

This light is in a color that represents harmony and integration.

The light grows and grows and begins to encompass both of you.

And within this ball of light,

You and your future self merge together.

Integrating.

See or feel this now.

As you resurface from the water,

Set your intention for the year ahead.

Bring to mind the qualities or energy you want to carry forward.

Bring to mind the message you received and set any other intentions that feel aligned.

Carry this integrated sense of self with you,

Knowing that you can access this guidance at any time.

For now,

As I count from one to five,

You'll begin to re-alert back into the present moment.

And by the time I get to five,

You'll open your eyes,

Feeling completely re-alert,

Relaxed and empowered.

One,

Notice your body resting on the surface beneath you.

Two,

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Three,

Taking a deep breath in and sighing it out.

Four,

Five,

When you are ready,

Open your eyes.
