Good morning.
This is a morning practice with affirmations to help you feel energized and ready for the day ahead.
Please take a comfortable seat,
Cross legged or in a chair.
Clasp your hands and on your inhale,
Reach them up overhead,
Palms up,
Look up if it's okay on your neck and stretch all the way to the sky.
And on your exhale,
Relax your arms down so your hands rest on your thighs.
Slightly tuck your chin down as you complete the breath.
And as you breathe in again,
Lift your chin to a neutral position.
Create a sense of length in your spine from tailbone to crown.
Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Allow yourself to simply arrive in this moment.
No expectations.
Just sitting as you watch your inhale and watch your exhale.
Practice being present in the moment.
Watch your inhale.
Watch your exhale.
Spend a few moments in awareness of the natural spontaneous movement of your breath.
Imagine rays of the sun touching your skin.
It's warm light washing over your body.
Breathe it in and out.
Again,
Breathe it in.
And on your exhale,
Start to let go of any sleepiness still lingering in your body.
Start to feel that sunlight from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes,
As if the sun is filling up your body with its beautiful bright light.
Breathe it in.
And on your exhale,
Let go of any sense of heaviness in your heart.
Breathe in light and breathe out any heaviness.
You're aware of that beautiful sunlight filling your body.
And now you sense it energizing every single cell within you,
Bringing you a light,
Bright energy for the day ahead.
Inhale and welcome that energy throughout your body and into your mind.
And exhale any self-doubt and worry.
Breathe it in and embrace the energy of the sun within.
And exhale naturally,
Knowing that everything is going to be okay.
You can handle whatever this day brings.
Let's repeat an affirmation for the day ahead while still being aware of the energy of the sun you've cultivated within you.
You can do this silently to yourself or out loud.
