You know,
If your head is full of negative thoughts about yourself and others and life,
What's going to happen is you will feel that you have no personal power.
And the reason is because you're spending all your time circulating around in your head.
It's pulling you back from a direct experience of life.
Now,
This isn't criticism and many of us,
The way we were raised,
We end up just being self-critical and critical of others.
So there's no blame,
But it's actually when you wake up and really see it that you'll change.
When you see how actually crippled it keeps you to be running this negativity,
It means that you won't be able to have a very simple,
Non-reactive response if something happens to you.
If something happens to you,
Like somebody slams a door in your face by accident,
Maybe.
If you've got a lot of garbage,
What will happen is this rage will come up and you'll kind of feel like you want to kill the person,
But you can't do that.
So you just suppress the thing so you don't even say anything.
You just sort of add to the volcano within.
You see,
It's just so not fun.
So what I'm just suggesting is if you just realize this,
If you just observe,
It's like imagine climbing up a little higher on the mountain and just start observing what goes on in your head.
You know,
If you get grossed out by the negativity,
Then what will happen is it will get reduced.
That's all that's really required is you to see it and go like,
I don't want to do this anymore.
And then just start,
It's sort of like swimming,
Swimming through the negativity to new land,
To like a new island emerging out of the ocean.
You know,
We might feel full of negativity,
Might be like just really seeing it and feeling it,
But if we are aware that it's negativity,
We can kind of swim through it.
It's like,
It's kind of terrible,
But it's kind of like think of swimming through sewage and getting to like the promised land,
A new perspective,
A fresh perspective.
Fresh perspective.
You know,
The spiritual journey,
We can't be couch potatoes.
We have to put our will in it.
We have to put our effort in it.
If you just sit and listen to teachers and not make any step to help yourself,
You're not going to get anywhere at all.
You know,
We,
We have to use our will and our intention.
You know,
You're a,
You're a child of the creator and you came here to discover that within yourself.
And one of the first steps to waking up is noticing how negative our thoughts are.
Yeah.
Because I'll tell you after years and years and years on the journey,
If something happens,
Like if I get a door slammed in my face or something like that,
I can just respond very simply and to the point and quite neutrally.
Whereas in the past,
You know,
This rage would come up.
And so then I wouldn't want to say anything.
And that's,
I mean,
It's good not to spew rage around,
But it's not good to just keep suppressing things.
Suppressing things.
So for personal power,
The recipe,
Swim through the negative thoughts to a new perspective,
And then just stand there and build,
Build your new perspective.
Really,
It's kind of a deeply personal,
Invisible process,
But it's really,
Really powerful.
And the more you do this,
The softer your life will get.
Okay.
Bless you,
Dear hearts.
I really know how hard it can be sometimes,
But the rewards are so good.
