Cancer free 3 is one of 6 creative visualizations for people with malignancies wanting to take an active role in their therapy. Communicate metaphorically with the mind-body to enlist its cooperation with medical treatments and healing processes. Based on the titles, choose the visualization for the kind of mind-body engagement you want. They are short enough to do more than one at one sitting. Listen frequently until you can do them without the audio program. Embellish each to suit your needs.

Cancer-free 3,

Surgery,

Tending the garden.

If you are receiving surgery,

You can in your creative visualization imagine your surgeon and nurses are like gardeners.

This is easier to imagine than to imagine the cells and tumors in your body.

Before we begin our creative visualization,

Let's get into a slightly relaxed,

Slightly dissociated dreamy state.

It's easy.

First,

Get into a comfortable position and close your eyes.

Breathe in four counts,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold seven,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven.

Breathe out eight as you relax,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Again,

In two,

Three,

Four.

Hold seven and out eight,

Doubling that relaxation even more.

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

One more time.

In four,

Hold seven,

And eight,

Doubling that relaxation.

Breathe naturally now.

In a moment,

I'm going to ask you to imagine yourself levitating.

Before you do,

Imagine you have anchored yourself to a bed or a chair or maybe a tree with a good rope.

Once fastened,

Imagine how it would feel to be levitating.

Perhaps it feels as if you are leaving your body.

You're leaving your body on the surface,

A little lightheaded perhaps as you lift off of the surface,

Up into the air in your immediate space,

Looking down upon yourself,

Up over the top of your immediate space,

Looking at yourself way down there,

Up higher over your building or the building you're sitting in,

Looking down on it,

Higher over the surrounding buildings,

Roads,

Streets,

And trees,

Lifting higher over the area or neighborhood you live,

High past the birds,

Up into the clouds,

Up into the clouds where you are delighted to find a well-anchored,

Stable feather or cotton bed or chair,

Where you can look out at the cloud formations floating by on a mostly clear blue sky day or look out at the star formations on a clear dark night,

Whichever you prefer.

Here you can daydream or dream dreams of health,

Comfort,

And joy.

Now in your dream,

Gardeners go into the garden through the garden door.

The garden surgeon finds a diseased plant.

He is a well-trained professional with in-depth knowledge of plant anatomy.

He expertly inspects the plant under a bright light,

Inspecting it here,

Inspecting it there,

Inspecting it from every angle,

And washes it very well so that he can see the plant clearly.

Then he uses very,

Very precise tools to remove any deformed branches or injured leaves from here and there and maybe a couple of other places.

He uses his tools to very delicately slice out even the tiniest problem without hurting the plant.

He uses other tools to remove anything on the branches.

Then he puts it all,

Puts his tools down and puts everything he cuts off into a disposal bag.

And he washes away any insects,

Dirt,

Sap,

Or rust.

The plant is sparkling clean,

Clean,

Clean,

Clean.

He sprays it with a soothing protective liquid medicine and then he rearranges the plant very beautifully in the garden,

Makes sure it's stable,

While his helpers take the garbage bag away,

Far away.

The gardener takes his tools out the garden door,

Locks the door carefully,

And leaves.

He has done this many times.

The garden is pristine again.

He knows he has done a good job.

He even goes home and tells his wife about the good job he did today.

And you,

You stand there like you have a great new haircut and a new set of clothes,

Shining and happy and healthy.

Now put that story in a pink bubble and send it out,

Up and out into the universe.

Imagine all the forces,

Earth,

Wind,

Fire,

Water,

Ether,

The heavenly bodies,

And the energy and vibrations surrounding them,

All beginning to move,

Move,

Move,

Coordinate to make your visualization come true.

And when you know that is happening,

You can gradually follow your rope back down,

Back into your body,

Back to where you are resting now.

Before you come out of your dream,

Repeat these words.

My surgeon is a careful,

Skilled,

And experienced gardener.

He has removed only the diseased cells,

And he has left only healthy cells.

He has left my body in good order.

My body is pristine.

When your mind-body knows what to do in a way that is efficient and most suitable for you,

You can use your own time and your own way to come out of your meditative state feeling glad that you have taken this time to take care of yourself.
