Welcome to week 1's meditation,
Air Element,
Clearing the field,
Cutting the cords.
And so initially we'll want to find our seat.
Inviting the eyes to gently close and start by noticing your breath as it's just happening.
The automation that works to your benefit.
The commodity of the Aquarian Age is your attention.
Your attention has become a kind of currency.
People want to purchase your attention,
They want to invest in it,
They want to spend it.
Awareness here,
Where your awareness is.
Where your awareness is,
Is the space where you feel yourself the most.
It is in this space of your awareness that your attention goes.
And so as you're scanning your body for evidence of your awareness,
You're scanning your environment,
Your external situations for evidence of your awareness,
You'll notice that's your attention.
Your attention is the vehicle by which you start searching.
Let that information sink into the body.
Wherever I place my attention,
I place my energy.
What I feed grows.
Working with the element of air.
And so with air is our breath.
And the breath is this magic tether to the present moment.
And so we can't breathe in the past or the future.
We can only breathe right now.
And so using our breath to establish our energy field for the day.
This is a really potent practice,
Especially in the morning.
It starts to set a tone.
And so here,
Establish a breathing pattern.
Start to breathe in a way that is demonstrative of how you'd like to feel.
So breathing big breaths in if you're feeling like you need to expand today.
Breathing simple,
Even breaths if you need to call in groundedness.
Breathing quickly if you've been a little sluggish.
Breathing slowly if you've been a little anxious.
And as you're breathing here and you start to notice a thought process creeping in,
Very gently start to watch your thought process as you're breathing.
There are Russian doll-like things that happen to thinking.
The thought creates the next thought,
Creates the next thought,
And creates the next thought.
They all fit inside each other.
And so if we notice one thought appear that isn't in the vibration of how we'd like to feel,
It's not in abundance,
It's not in grace,
It's not in forgiveness,
Whatever the feeling you're cultivating for today is.
Note that thought as it produces a next one,
As it clones itself maybe even a little more negative.
Imagine it had a string attached to it.
And start to collect in your left hand the strings as they attach to your thoughts.
As if your thoughts were balloons and they would float right over your left side.
Just watch them as they collect.
You can keep going as long as you'd like to.
When you finish collecting these thought balloons,
Start to cut your strings one by one and watch these thoughts separate from your body.
Watch them floating up and away,
Far away.
One by one,
You cut your cords.
Whenever you're ready to pop out of your practice,
Take yourself out super gently.
You can practice this with or without the recording if you feel like you've kind of got a hold of it after a couple of days.
