Hello and welcome to this guided meditation for opening your heart,

Mind and body to total being rest.

Before we begin,

I'd like to ask you a few simple questions.

You can answer in your journal or simply in your mind.

Just be honest,

This is between you and you.

Do you allow yourself the rest you need?

How low do you allow your metaphorical battery to go before you recharge it?

Do you let yourself rest until you feel full and vibrantly alive?

How much rest do you think that you'd need to get full?

What would it look like to take rest as often as you need and to fully enjoy it?

What would it feel like?

Take just a few moments and visualize yourself taking the rest you need.

See yourself awakening fully recharged with a clear mind,

Bright countenance and a feeling of robust invincibility buzzing through all of yourselves.

See yourself moving through your day with lightness and ease,

Overflowing with an abundance of energy and joy,

Feeling powerful,

Capable,

Effortless.

This is a possible reality for you and it all begins with prioritizing your inner wellness.

It's time to claim your right to rest and claim your right to enjoy it fully,

To allow yourself to get lost in it,

To completely dissolve into it until you return to your natural state of vibrant well-being.

With rest comes restoration and as you let yourself surrender completely,

Your cells will revitalize and replenish,

Your energy,

Clarity,

Creativity and passion for life will be restored.

And so in this meditation today,

We'll be practicing enjoying the feeling of resting and letting go without guilt or judgment,

Acknowledging that rest is a holy good thing and an important thing,

Acknowledging that it's safe to surrender and take pleasure in the act of rest.

It's something that you have every right to celebrate and enjoy.

And so if you haven't already,

Find somewhere cozy and quiet to sit or lay down,

Close your eyes,

Take a deep cleansing breath and let go.

Let go of your day.

Let go of your mind.

Let go of any gripping or holding you feel in your body.

Consciously begin to soften and nourish these areas with mindful breath,

Letting a new lightness of being flood your body with every inhale and letting any stress,

Tension or negativity simply melt away off your body with every exhale.

Inhale and exhale,

Let go,

Surrender.

Inhale and exhale,

Relax.

Allow all the muscles in your face,

Neck and shoulders to go slack.

Inhale and as you exhale,

Let any thoughts or tension dissolve.

Simply give in to the good feeling.

Know that it's safe to relax,

To let go.

When you release control,

You open up a space for love to flow,

To lift you,

To make all things new.

You allow yourself to be restored,

Rejuvenated and refreshed.

So lay your burdens to rest and be transported.

See yourself laying down in pasture's green.

Feel the sun on your face,

The cool and refreshing breeze,

The birds in the distance and just breathe.

Let your inhales be long and smooth and your exhales complete as you release all the air from your lungs.

Inhale for a count of four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Pause.

Exhale for a count of four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Pause.

And again,

Inhale for a count of four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Pause.

Exhale for a count of four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Pause.

Once more,

Inhale for a count of four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Pause.

Exhale for a count of four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Pause.

Feeling a sense of ease,

Softness and surrender.

Breathing deeper and deeper,

Opening up to the pleasure of it.

Feeling the rightness and goodness of this choice to relax and rest here by the way it feels.

Inhale.

Exhale slowly with a sigh.

Have compassion for any thoughts or judgments that might arise in the mind while you rest.

Exhale upon them.

Let them be.

Let your face and your mind go slack.

You don't need to be anything other than how you are right now.

Keep yourself open to the good feelings rest brings.

Let them dance through you.

Feeling good is a signal from your body and your mind letting you know your forces are moving in harmony,

Restoring,

Rejuvenating,

Accessing the health,

Well-being and vibrancy that are natural to you.

Exhale deeply.

Exhale with a sigh.

Let it all go.

Surrender even more deeply into yourself.

What could be more beautiful than you resting in you?

Breathing into your goodness,

Your wholeness.

I now invite you to pause this meditation and take rest for as long as you need it.

Allow yourself to laze and unwind in the timelessness of being until you feel completely refreshed.

So have a glass of water,

Grab a blanket and lay down on your couch or out in the sunshine.

And revel in this simple act and pleasure of rest.

The world needs you in your fullness and only you can claim this for you by caring for and honoring yourself in the ways that you most need it.

So take rest as often as you need and revel in it.

With so much love,

Namaste.

Namaste.
