Like sunlight on water.

Welcome to this meditation journey.

This will be a gentle journey.

You can sit to lie down,

Close your eyes if you feel comfortable to,

And I invite you to just gently listen.

Feel your body,

And feel into how it feels for you today.

And allow a gentle inhale and exhale out of your nose,

Allowing your body to sink and soften,

Unwinding,

Following its own natural pathway of unwinding that is perfect for you today.

Feeling how your body knows exactly what to do for you,

Through you.

Relaxing from your elbows,

Your knees,

Relaxing your hips,

And allow your jaw to soften,

Like a sigh,

And feel the release ripple throughout your body,

Softening your forehead,

Unclenching anything that's ready to let go.

Just being here,

Open and receptive,

Unfurling,

Unwinding,

And letting go.

Gently bringing your awareness now to the sense of a deep,

Vast expanse of water,

And the feeling of gentle lapping sounds moving through you,

An awareness of the cool depths of this water,

And the light lapping quality.

Just a gentle awareness of these qualities,

These sensations.

Feeling into your own depths,

Into your own sense of being today,

Without words or names to define it.

Can you sense into how deep your waters go?

Where do you expand to?

Flow to?

Continuing to soften,

To sink,

To float,

To expand.

And you lean back into a sense of deep,

Deep surrender here.

A still point you can touch within,

A place that seems ready,

And silently waiting for your arrival,

Like an ancient resting point,

An ancient pool,

A kind of pathway.

It's as though mysteries swirl in these watery depths,

Constantly moving,

Unable to take steady form.

Steady form being unnecessary here,

Liquid energy free from restriction.

Can you lean back even more into these waters,

And just enjoy that sensation of deep surrender?

Cool,

Dark,

Deep,

Seemingly endless,

Seemingly endless,

Into the mystery.

And now you begin to sense into the feeling of light appearing on the surface of the water,

A fresh arrival of little glimmers,

Sparkles accenting the ripples from the depths.

Light,

The heat of sunlight,

Meeting the coolness of the deep water,

Like a welcome sunrise after a long night.

And you notice how these qualities can coexist,

Neither one trying to shift the other,

Both simply being,

Interacting,

The coming and going,

The patterns,

The rhythms,

Swirling,

Dancing,

Flickering,

Sinking,

Rising,

Expanding,

Contracting,

Existing,

Breathing.

Your own deep,

Watery depths meet your sunlight,

Allowing all of the experience to be.

Letting words melt into the water,

Letting everything move together and rest together.

How does it feel within you to experience this dance?

What does it stir within your own waters?

And what do you feel without giving the feelings words,

Simply noticing the sensations of feeling?

And as you notice,

It's as though you can allow your essence to expand,

To delicately hold all of these sensations and experiences,

Feeling the ripples moving through you,

Feeling the ripples coming and going,

Not clearing anything,

Just allowing everything to be,

Just allowing everything to move,

Slow or fast,

Or to be somewhat still.

Whatever it may be,

You become as vast as the all.

Notice how you can move between small focus and expanded focus,

Dancing sunlight and swirling depths.

You are flowing,

Flowing like the waters,

Noticing the light,

Noticing the dark depths,

Noticing the play between the two,

Noticing the oneness,

Noticing your body,

Noticing your essence and energy,

Noticing the noticing.

And here you are.

Allow yourself to melt into these depths and surrender here for a few moments.

And now,

Bringing your awareness back into your fingers and toes,

Moving and stretching your body if you would like to,

And when you feel ready,

You can open your eyes.
